Jurors will continue deliberations Friday in the case of a Fontana woman charged with the deadly shooting of her former boyfriend at his Rialto home in 2006, court officials confirmed.

The jury received the case of Jennifer Kay Stull on Tuesday afternoon, after lawyers wrapped up their closing arguments in Fontana Superior Court.

Stull, 25, is suspected of fatally shooting 38-year-old Michael Anthony Ribaudo, whose body was found in the Driftwood Avenue home he shared with his mother about 11:30 p.m. on June 24, 2006, according to Rialto Police.

Jurors began deliberating this afternoon in the case of a Fontana woman charged with the deadly shooting of her former boyfriend at his Rialto home in 2006.

Lawyers wrapped up their closing arguments today in case of Jennifer Kay Stull which is being heard in Fontana Superior Court, confirmed Deputy District Attorney Tonya Cole.

Stull, 25, is suspected of fatally shooting 38-year-old Michael Anthony Ribaudo, whose body was found in the living room of the Driftwood Avenue home he shared with his mother about 11:30 p.m. on June 24, 2006, according to Rialto Police.

Assemblywoman Wilmer Amina Carter, D-Rialto, is holding her "There Ought to Be a Law" contest for the second-straight year.

Anyone who lives or goes to school in her assembly district - Rialto, Colton, Muscoy, Bloomington and parts of Fontana and San Bernardino - can sent Carter an idea for new legislation.

"Whatever your ideas, I want to hear from you," Carter said.

Carter will introduce the winning idea as legislation in the 2008-09 session. The winner will also get to be involved in the legislative process, get a tour of the State Capitol, a plaque and lunch with Carter.

A Rialto man was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter today in the deadly stabbing of a man the defendant encountered with his estranged wife last year.

The jury found Joe Anthony Sanchez not guilty of murder charges in the August 2007 death of 28-year-old Jose Alonso Madrigal and not guilty of charges related to his then-estranged wife and key prosecution witness, Charity Sanchez, during proceedings in San Bernardino Superior Court.

"That tells me they didn't believe her," Deputy Public Defender Jeffrey Lawrence said of Charity Sanchez's testimony, afterward in a courthouse hallway.

A man charged with fatally shooting 25-year-old Rosa Angela Trigo, after a confrontation at El Patio bar in Rialto in 2006, was ordered held to face the charges at a hearing Thursday.

A judge determined there was sufficient evidence to hold over Andres Landeros Garcia for trial in Trigo's death after hearing evidence and testimony at a preliminary hearing in San Bernardino Superior Court.

Garcia, 23, is scheduled to return to court Oct. 8 for formal arraignment on charges of murder, attempted murder and assault with a firearm on a person, according to court records and the District Attorney's Office reported.

In announcing a second preliminary gang injunction in two days, the Office of District Attorney Michael A. Ramos released the following statement:

Warner granted the San Bernardino County District Attorney's request for a preliminary injunction against the South Side Rialto criminal street gang. The court granted the preliminary injunction after finding that its terms were "appropriate," given the
activities of this gang.

A gang injunction was secured this morning against a notorious Rialto street gang that police say have terrorized the city for three decades.

San Bernardino County Superior Court Judge Christopher Warner granted the civil injunction, which will bar the 60 or so active gang members from sporting their tattoos, wearing gang clothing or gathering together in the roughly two-mile area once police serve notice.

Carlos Silva Bernal is scheduled to appear in court Thursday for a preliminary hearing in the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend, 22-year-old Stephanie Ann Lenczyk, in January 2007.

The hearing for Bernal, 26, will be heard in Fontana Superior Court, according to court records.

At a preliminary hearing, prosecutors present some of the evidence and testimony in support of the charges. The judge will then decide whether sufficient evidence exists to hold over the defendant for trial.

A man suspected of fatally shooting 25-year-old Rosa Angela Trigo following a fight at El Patio bar in Rialto is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Thursday in San Bernardino Superior Court.

Andres Landeros Garcia, 23, appeared in court Tuesday as lawyers confirmed the dates for the hearing. Prosecutors reported the Thursday hearing date.

At a preliminary hearing, prosecutors will present some evidence and testimony to support the charges filed against Garcia. A judge will then determine if sufficient evidence has been presented to hold over the defendant for trial.

A preliminary hearing for two men accused of the deadly shooting a 19-year-old woman outside of the El Patio nightclub in Rialto got underway Thursday afternoon but won't be completed until next week, according to court records.

The hearing for defandants Jose Vizcarra and Nefi Bogard Tejeda, who are suspected in the death of Brizeida Campos of Rialto, will resume at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Fontana Superior Court, the records indicate.

Campos was with a group of friends who became involved in the fight outside the club that escalated into a shooting on Apr. 16, 2007.

Two men charged with a deadly shooting outside the El Patio nightclub in Rialto are scheduled for a preliminary hearing Thursday, after the hearing was re-scheduled at least twice before.

The hearing for defendants Jose Vizcarra and Nefi Bogard Tejada, who are suspected in the death of 19-year-old Brizeida Campos, of Rialto, will be at Fontana Superior Court. Campos was with a group of friends who became involved in the fight outside the club that escalated into a shooting on Apr. 16, 2007.

The crowd got into two separate vehicles, both which crashed about a block from each other along Foothill Boulevard, Rialto Police said, in an earlier report. Campos was found suffering from trauma to her chest and head in the rear seat of one of the vehicles, San Bernardino County Coroner's officials said.

Anthony Roman Marquez admitted taking part in the deadly shooting of 20-year-old Diego Diaz, at a Fontana party organized by party crews, during court proceedings Tuesday.

Marquez pleaded guilty to one count of assault with a deadly weapon, not a firearm or force, under the terms of a plea bargain, during his appearance in Fontana Superior Court. He was orginally being held on a murder charge.

Diaz was shot Oct. 28, 2007 while on the dance floor at a party organized by various dance crews at a residence in the 8000 block of Alder Avenue. Shots were fired about 12:30 a.m. when a fight involving up to 30 people broke out on the dance floor, Fontana Sgt. Jeff Decker said in an earlier interview.
