The exhibitions are The Passerby Museum and Multiverse.

The Passerby Museum has a collection of diverse items such as political buttons or other objects from people who gave them after working, visiting or living near the museum when it was available for donations.  When the museum was in Claremont, about 400 items were collected.

Multiverse uses mixed media sculptures, photographic installations, a light box installation and other media to explore multiple, parallel universes.

The Claremont Museum of Art is located at 536 West First Street. The hours of the museum are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

The museum store is open until 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and until 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission is free from 5 to 8:30 p.m. the first Friday of every month. The galleries and store is open until 8:30 p.m. the first Friday of every month are closed on Christmas and New Year's Day.

Morris' is scheduled to be at the museum from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The Claremont Museum of Art is at 536 West First Street.

Morris, an interdisciplinary poet, has worked extensively as a multimedia performer, artist and writer. She is currently the CPCW Fellow in Poetics and Poetic Practice at the University of Pennsylvania and Associate Professor of Humanities and Media Studies at Pratt Institute.

She will read from her collection of works at the event.

The event is $5 for non-museum members and free for museum members.

Seniors 62 and over can enter the galleries for $2. Admission for regular museum members and children under age 18 is free.

There is also a special senior discount of 20 percent off a single, non-sale item at the Museum Store.

Reservations aren't necessary and docents are available at 11:30 a.m.

Anyway, the Claremont Museum of Art will honor educator and artist James Fuller and arts patron, educator and activist John D. Maguire on one night.

The event takes place on Saturday Nov. 1 at the Westin Pasadena, 191 N. Los Robles Ave. and tickets begin at $250 a person with tables starting at $5,000. Sponsor packages are also available.
