Sound from mothers' pleas for their son's return

| | Comments (0) |
I've written a number of entries about the search for Christine Jeanbart's and Zanni Meguerian's sons.

Their ex-husbands, George and John Silah, took off with the kids after failing to return them from summer custody visitations.

The L.A. City Council has offered a reward, the D.A.'s office has charged both men, the women have gone to the media and the FBI and LAPD are investigating. Nothing has happened, unfortunately, to bring Alex, Zaven and Greg home.

Back on Aug. 6, the women stood before the media and pleaded for their sons' return. They spoke directly to their husbands and kids. I taped them on my digital audio recorder, but didn't have the ability to post their words here at the time. Now I figured it out.

So here are the women's pleas. The man introducing them is their attorney, Ronald Brot:

Westchester Lutheran students raise funds and awareness for missing classmates. Front row: (l to r) Kurt Weber, Tommy Villalobos, Niko Villalobos, Tor Larsen, Harrison Laine; Back Row: Nick Englehart, Stetson Baber, Grant Nagai, Chris Bobak

This fine group of kids from Westchester Lutheran School set up a table in the parking lot of Vons on 80th Street on Sept. 6 to help in the effort to find two of their classmates.

The Silah boys -- Alex, 12, and Zaven, 8 --  would have begun seventh and third grade this week.

Their father, George Silah, is charged with kidnapping the kids and taking off. Silah's brother, John, also is missing with his son, Greg, 10.

Alex and Zaven's mother, Zanni Meguerian, and Greg's mother, Christine Jeanbart, have not heard from their former husbands or children since July 2.

The fundraiser, which pulled in $1,200, is to help pay for the costs of attorneys and organizations that have become involved in the case.

A concert will be held at the school at 7 p.m. on Sept. 25.

Donations may be sent to ARC "Silah Operation," P.O. Box 7000-59, Redondo Beach, CA  90277.

I talked to Christine today. She told me that investigators with the LAPD and FBI are working hard on the case, even on weekends.

"We are just waiting and hoping that they will find them," she said.

Still, there is nothing to report.

"I'm really tired emotionally," she said. "I'm trying to keep my hopes up, but I haven't heard from the FBI about any positive leads."

The mothers last week pleaded for the men to return their kids.

Anyone with information on the case was asked to call detectives at (310) 482-6313.

moms.jpgZanni Meguerian, whose sons, Alex and Zaven, and Christine Jeanbart, whose son Greg, were abducted by their former husbands in early July, pleaded today at a news conference for the boy's return. Meguerian's ex-husband George Silah and Jeanbart's ex-husband, John Silah, who are brothers, disappeared with the boys.

Here's what they said: (If I can figure it out later, I'll post the actual sound.)

Meguerian:
"Alex, Zaven, I miss you guys so much. I love you honey. I'm going to find you. Please be strong. Don't be afraid. We are all looking for you and we are going to find you. Please take care of each other. Ask for help if you see somebody. Ask to use their cell phone. Call 911 or call me. Try to log on to the Internet. Honey I miss you guys so much. Please, please just pray and stay strong. We will be together soon I promise.

"This is to George: George, for once in your life do the right thing. Please do not keep the kids in harm's way. Please return them back to me where they'll be safe. You can hide. You can run. You can do whatever you want. Let the children go. Drop them off at a fire station, at a police department, at a hospital, at a church. Somewhere where they've be safely able to come back home to me. Please just do the right thing...

Jeanbart:
"John, you know how much my son is attached to me, how much he loves me. Please do the right thing. Don't torture his soul. That poor kid is probably asking for his mother. Do the right thing. Drop him off at a church, at a police station. Let him call me. I need to talk to him. I miss him very much...

"I'm not going to cry. I'm going to be fighting to get my son back. It's going to happen. I'm going to get him back with the help of the authorities, all the prayers and hopefully Greg will come back soon...

"Greg, this is Mommy dear. Hang in there sweetheart. I'm going to come and find you. I'm going to bring you back home. Stay strong. Make sure you pray every night. Be patient. I'm coming to get you back home where you belong. I love you. Take care."

Brother blasts Westchester men who abducted sons

| | Comments (1) |
George Silah1.jpgJohn Silah-1.jpgThis email came to me this morning from Robert Sulahian, the brother of the Westchester men who abducted their sons and might be headed to Syria:

"I undersigned Dr.Robert Sulahian (Silah), brother of John & George Silah, after reviewing the websites which has been designed on this occasion, project the heartrending story of the action that John & George have taken against their families (X wives & children). I declare that this action is categorically rejected and I publicly condemn this inhuman and harsh action of my brothers that has been taken against their X wives and children, consequently, against the human kind at large.

He also said he does not believe his brothers will harm the children.

Judianne Cochran, a  consultant in interstate/international parental abduction (criminalthe children1.jpg interference with custody), custodial interference and parental alienation sent along these comments in regard to the abduction of three boys by their Westchester fathers..

She often becomes a liaison between a parent and agencies involved in custody investigations and recovery.

1.   The LAPD is required by Federal law to take the reports no matter WHO has custody and they are required to immediately enter the reports into the NCIC.  The Missing Children's Assistance Act is VERY clear on this.

2.  The delays being created by the stupidity of the PD could prove fatal for these children and mothers ever being reunited.  These kids have not been flagged by the State Department, Interpol or brought to the attention of ICE.

3.  California law regarding Criminal Interference with Custody does not differentiate between the parents when an abduction occurs.  The concealing parent will be charged with a felony no matter what the custody arrangement is, indeed even if there isn't one in place.

4.  Someone needs to apprise Lt Mossler of the law ASAP before these boys are permanently missing.

By the way, Canada is extremely cooperative in locating and recovering American children brought there illegally.  However, these men already have a month's head start and it appears that no one is doing their job in LA County......as usual.

These are photos of the Silah brothers of Westchester who are suspected of taking their sons and disappearing. The boys' mothers are frantically trying to find them before the boys are taken to Syria. A full story is coming later tonight.

If you know where George, bottom right, and John Silah, bottom left, are, along with Greg, top right, and his cousins, Zaven and Alex, call the police.
