Yucaipa - While I was at the Calimesa Country Club shooting a photo for the Yucaipa High School football golf tournament, I came across a father and daughter spending a beautiful Monday morning on the golf course together.

Gary Enos and his three-year-old daughter, Sandra, from Banning were having fun riding the golf cart, and just spending quality time together - just daddy and his little girl.

"She likes driving the cart, looking at the birds and squirrels," said Gary. "She's just at that age now where she can come along with me."

The Calimesa Country Club offers one of the finest venues for concerts

About four years a go while working for the Hemet Valley Chronicle, I had the pleasure of seeing and hearing Dan Damon perform at the Simpson Center. In a word, outstanding.

I encourage you to bring your lawn chairs and blankets (tonight) to the Calimesa Country Club, and relax in a beautiful venue and enjoy Dan Damon's "The All Time Greats Celebration Show."

Damon and The Fabulous Three, perform five decades of all time great tunes, including Swing, Country, Standards, and Light Pop Rock.

You won't be disappointed. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. And it is free. Now, for those with an appetite, show up at 5 p.m. and enjoy a dinner of steak, baked potato, salad, rolls and dessert. All for just $8.50. And you can sit on the balcony overlooking the beautiful fairways and greens, while enjoying your meal.

The concerts are presented by the Calimesa Cultural and Performing Arts Association, the City of Calimesa, and through the generosity of the Calimesa Country Club for hosting the concerts.
