Rancho Los Amigos to showcase art work

Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center will host the 12th Annual "Art of Rancho" show Friday (Nov.7).

This art exhibition, according to organizers, is a showcase of work presented by more than 40 patients, and will feature mouthstick painting demonstrations, a chance to create your own marbeling art.

This free public exhibit is scheduled 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Support Services Annex of Rancho Los Amigos, 7601 E. Imperial Highway, in Downey. Parking is available in the structure adjacent to the Support Services Annex building..

Rancho Los Amigos cited for two outstanding programs

 Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center has been cited for two of 10 outstanding county programs.

 

The County of Los Angeles Quality and Productivity Commission will present the awards to the most creative and innovative programs, which are considered models of excellence in public service.


This year these projects reported $242,127,037 in annual cost benefits, according to the county.

 Language & Culture Resource Center/Video Medical Interpretation Project
Department of Health Services - Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center 
  
Patient Visit Redesign in Ambulatory Care Clinic
Department of Health Services - Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center

Pico Rivera Station Vandalism Enforcement Team
Board of Supervisors First District, with Sheriff's Department, County Counsel, Office of the District Attorney, Probation Department, Department of Public Works, and City of Pico Rivera
