Police are looking for two men who stole a scooter and an iPod from a 15-year-old boy in Fontana Saturday.

The teen was riding his scooter home from a friends house about 7:30 p.m., according to a Fontana police news release. When he got to the intersection of Brandon Court and W Constitution Way, two men got out of a gray 2-door vehicle and approached him.

One of the men, who had a handgun, stole the iPod and scooter, police said.

They got back into the car and drove west on W Constitution.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies are searching for the suspect or suspects that stole a truck full of propane gas early Sunday morning.

The truck was stolen from the Ferrellgas Company at 15559 Foothill Blvd. at 4 a.m. Sunday, said sheriff's Sgt. Maggie Finneran. The thieves forced the chain link fence open to access the truck, she said.

The truck is described as a light blue, 2002 Kenworth semi-truck with a license plate number of
 6 R 6 0 5 8 7. The truck contained a tank with 2,700 gallons of propane.

Anyone with information on the missing truck is asked to call the Fontana station at (909) 356-6767.

Fontana police on Sunday arrested a 21-year-old man at his girlfriend's house in connection with last week's robbery at the Valero gas station.

Israel Hermosillo was booked into West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on suspicion of robbery after police served a search warrant at his home in the 8200 block of Concord Street.

Fontana police are looking for two men they believe got out of a car Tuesday, knocked down a 22-year-old man and robbed him at knife point.

At 7:55 a.m., the two men got out of a green late-'90s Honda Civic near Marlay and El Contento avenues and knocked down the Fontana resident, according to a Fontana
police news release.

One of the suspects held a knife to the victim's throat and demanded the victim's
possessions, according to the release. The other suspect, who was holding a small
baseball bat, took a backpack with a wallet, money and a tennis racket. Then they headed east on El Contento.

The suspects were both wearing ski masks, and police aren't sure how old they are. One is described as 5-foot, seven-inches tall, weighing 150 pounds and was wearing
a black, hooded sweatshirt, brown pants and black shoes. The other is described as
5-foot, 10-inches tall, weighing 140 pounds and also wearing a black, hooded
sweatshirt, brown pants and black shoes.

Fontana police are looking for an armed man suspected of robbing a dry cleaning business Tuesday.

The man walked into Boston Cleaners at 16155 Sierra Lakes Parkway at 11:58 a.m. and demanded an employee put money in a white plastic bag that he opened, police said.

He told the employee he wouldn't hurt her, but showed her a black handgun in his waistband. Once she filled the bag with money, the robber told the employee to walk to the back of the store.

The robber fled through the parking lot, got into a black truck with an extended cab and drove away.

Police said the robber is white, 5-feet-8 inches tall and 240 pounds. He has brown hair and wore a green button-down shirt and blue jeans.

Purse snatched in Fontana

A 49-year-old Fontana woman had her purse snatched in a Wal-Mart parking lot Wednesday night, police said.


The robber came up behind the woman about 6:30 p.m. as she walked out of the store at 17251 Foothill Blvd.


"She tried to chase after him but couldn't keep up," said Fontana police Sgt. Jeff Decker.

Fontana police are searching for an armed robber who held up Sally's beauty supply store Monday night.

 

The man, who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, walked into the store at 16771 Valley Blvd. around 7:30 p.m., brandished a handgun and demanded money from the cash register, said Sgt. Jeff Decker.

 

He escaped with an unknown amount of cash. The robber did not take any beauty supplies.

He is described as a black man, 6-feet tall and 210 pounds.

A 74-year-old Fontana man had his home invaded by a woman hired to clean his house Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The victim had asked a woman to tidy up his house in the 6800 block of Ginger Lane but she brought an armed man with her, said Fontana police Sgt. Jeff Decker.

The man pulled out a gun and demanded the victim's wallet before the suspects ransacked the victim's house and drove off in a black GMC pick-up truck, police said.

The 74-year-old victim was not injured.

The suspects were both Latino and in their mid-20s. The man was about 5'10 and weighed 200 pounds. He was wearing a red Angels shirt. The woman was 5'2, weighed 130 pounds and was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

Two men robbed a Fontana Jack in the Box Saturday afternoon and took money from the drive through cash register.

About 2:50 p.m., two men in their 20s walked into the fast food restaurant at 14485 Foothill Blvd. One robber jumped over the counter and told the cashier to give them the money from the register, according to a Fontana police news release.

The robber kept one hand in the right front pocket of his jacket to make it look like he had a gun, but the employee never saw a weapon.

The men left the store with about $200, according to the news release.

A 39-year-old Fontana man was robbed of his wallet then pistol whipped Friday night.

The victim was sitting in his vehicle, about 8:50 p.m., about to back out of a parking lot at 11623 Cherry Ave., when a man came up to the driver's window and asked for the time, according to a Fontana police news release. After the victim gave the time, the robber pointed a small black handgun at him and demanded his wallet.

When he took the wallet, the robber hit the man in the forehead with the gun.

The victim got a cut on his forehead from the incident and was treated at the scene, according to the news release.

Armed robbers, including one wearing a Halloween costume, robbed a Fontana liquor store Wednesday evening.

A man and woman came to the Arrow Mini Mart in the 16000 block of Arrow Boulevard at 9:04 p.m. and the woman pointed a handgun at the clerks, police said.

Once the robbers received cash, they fled the store and jumped in a dark green sedan. Police said the vehicle had collision damage on the left rear quarter panel.

The robbers are black and 18 to 20-years-old. The woman is 5-feet-7 inches tall and 120 to 130 pounds. She wore a red coat with a fur collar and a red bandana over her face. The man is 5-feet-11 inches tall and 140 to 150 pounds. He wore a white Halloween costume with a mask. He also wore gray plaid shorts.

Fontana robbery unsuccessful

A 79-year-old man was able to thwart off a robber Saturday afternoon in Fontana.

The Bloomington resident parked his vehicle in a parking lot at 8983 Sierra Ave. Before he could get out of the vehicle, a robber approached him and stuck the barrel of a silver handgun into his cheek, according to a Fontana Police news release.

The robber demanded money from the man but he refused, pushing the handgun away from his face.

The robber ran away from the scene without stealing any items, according to the news release.

Fontana 7-Eleven robbed

A man walked into a 7-Eleven Friday morning and told the clerk he wanted to rob the store, according to a Fontana police news release.

About 3:15 a.m., the robber walked into the business at 17710 Foothill Blvd. and jumped over the counter.

He ordered the employee to open both cash registers and lay face down on the ground.

The robber took an unknown amount of cash from the open registers and ran from the store, according to the news release.

A knife-wielding robber snatched two laptop computers from a store Sunday after an employee refused to give him cash and other items, police said.

The robber ordered an employee of Cellular 4 U to give him money, a purse and store electronics when he walked into the business at 19039 Valley Blvd. at 1:27 p.m.

The employee didn't comply, so the robber jumped over the counter and grabbed two laptops, police said.

The robber is an 18 to 20-year-old Latino man who is 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-10 inches tall. He is 150 to 175 pounds and has brown hair. He wore a black shirt and black-and-white checkered shorts.

Boy robbed at Fontana park

A teen boy was robbed of his cell phone Monday by a man who said he would be jumped by four men if the boy didn't hand it over, police said.

The Fontana boy was riding his skateboard at 7350 W. Liberty Parkway when four people in a gray four-door Honda pulled over. The driver got out of the car and asked the victim what gang he is from. The victim said he is not a gang member.

Police said the man then demanded the boy's cell phone or he would be attacked. He had a 10 to 12-inch metal object in his hand. After the boy handed over his cell phone, the men drove away. One of the robbers is described as a 6-foot Latino man, 190 to 200 pounds and with brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

A 52-year-old Fontana man was held up Sunday as he deposited money in an ATM machine at 11205 Sierra Ave. around 8:20 a.m., police said.

A man in his mid-20s pointed a gun at the victim and demanded his money before fleeing. He is described as 5-feet 7-inches, 160 pounds and bald with a mustache. He was wearing a black sweatshirt over a grey shirt.

Two 7-elevens robbed in Fontana

A Fontana 7-Eleven store was robbed Thursday night when a man entered the building with a gun and demanded money from the clerk.

About 11:30 p.m., the robber walked into the store at 16096 Slover Ave., stood in front of the counter, and held a handgun at his side, according to a Fontana Police news release. He told the 57-year-old store clerk to give him all of the money from the register.

When the robber got the money, he left the store and ran through the parking lot, according to the news release.

This was not the only 7-Eleven robbery in the city that day. At 3:15 on Thursday morning, a woman with a butcher knife tried to rob a store at 17305 Arrow Blvd. She was deterred when a 7-Eleven clerk hit her in the face with a roll of coins.

Angelyna Dibenedetto, 27, of Fontana was arrested on suspicion of robbery shortly after the incident, Fontana police said.

"It's not uncommon to have robberies at 7-Elevens," said Fontana police Sgt. Jeff Decker.

Police are looking for a man armed with a chrome handgun who stole money during a Pizza Hut hold-up in Fontana late Wednesday, police said.

The robber entered the business at 13518 Base Line Road at 9:14 p.m. and held out a metallic or chrome handgun while demanding money from the cash register.

He then ran from the business.

The robber is a 6-foot black man, 20 to 25-years-old and 200 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, and wore a gray beanie, blue jacket and a white T-shirt.

A woman armed with a butcher knife tried to rob a 7-Eleven this morning, but was captured after a clerk hit her in the face with a roll of coins, police said.

Fontana police arrested Angelyna Dibenedetto, 27, of Fontana on suspicion of robbery.

She walked into the store at 17305 Arrow Blvd. at 3:14 a.m., pulled out a large butcher knife and demanded money, police said. The clerk feared for his safety, so he threw a roll of coins at the robber, striking her in the face.

The robber ran out of the store and tossed the knife in a nearby trash can. Police caught Dibenedetto south of the store and found the knife.

A 19-year-old Upland man received a cut to his head when robbers struck him with a handgun during a holdup late Tuesday, police said.

The victim was taken to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center for treatment.

The victim was at the corner of Citrus Avenue and Foothill Boulevard at 10:29 p.m. when two men approached and ordered him to hand over all his property, police said. One of the men had a handgun and struck the victim in the head with it, police said.

Police said both men are Latino, 20-years-old, 5-feet-8 inches tall and 180 pounds. They wore black hooded sweatshirts and dark jeans. They were driving a black, four-door pickup, possibly a Chevrolet.
