We are pleased to announce and congratulate the winner of the district competition, which is Chaparral Elementary School. Chaparral collected 119 pounds of pop tops during the competition!"
From the Fontana Unified School District Web site:
"One of the facility goals the Board of Education has established is the conversion of multi-track year-round elementary schools to single-track year-round schools. In reviewing the facility needs of Citrus, Poplar, and Virginia Primrose Elementary Schools, the administration believes that these schools are ready for such a conversion.
Therefore, the FUSD Board of Education has approved Citrus, Poplar, and Virginia Primrose Elementary Schools to change to the single-track year-round schedule effective 2009-10 school year."
