Nine drivers were arrested this past weekend during a DUI checkpoint in Norco.

In all, more than 960 vehicles drove through the checkpoint and 502 drivers were screened Saturday night and early Sunday on Hamner Avenue and First Street, according to a Riverside County Sheriff's department news release.

Of the 17 drivers who were given Field Sobriety Tests, one driver was arrested for driving drunk.

During the checkpoint, 59 drivers were issued citations, six people were arrested for outstanding misdemeanor warrants and one person was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant, according to the news release. Another person was arrested for possession of controlled substances.

The sobriety checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety, according to the news release.

A traffic safety checkpoint in Fontana resulted in seven arrests over the weekend.

Three people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and four arrests were made for other alleged violations like outstanding warrants, resisting or obstructing a peace officer and possession of drugs, according to a Fontana police news release.

About 2,420 vehicles passed through the checkpoint that took place from 6 p.m. Saturday to 1:30 a.m. Sunday on Citrus Avenue between Randall and San Bernardino Avenues, according to the news release. More than 180 vehicles were stopped, 76 were impounded and 94 received citations for various traffic violations.

This checkpoint was funded by a grant from the Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

A traffic safety checkpoint will be conducted at 400 E. Arrow in San Dimas today from 2 to 10 p.m., according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's news release.

San Dimas Community Action Team members, team leaders, patrol deputies, explorers, and station volunteers from the San Dimas station will conduct the checkpoint.
A drunken driving and driver's license checkpoint Saturday night resulted in seven drivers arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.

Seventy three other drivers were issued citations for various driving offenses, one person was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, one person was arrested for possession of controlled substances and one person was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, according to a Riverside County Sheriff's Department news release.

A total of 735 vehicles passed through the checkpoint from 6 p.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday at Hamner Avenue and First Street, according to a news release.

On average, it took drivers less than two minutes to proceed through the checkpoint, sheriff's deputies said.

Ontario police officers will conduct a DUI checkpoint in the city Friday.

The checkpoint will be from 6 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday at an undisclosed location, according to a police news release. 

During the checkpoint, police officers will focus on impaired drivers and enforce traffic laws.

The funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the state Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Eight drivers were arrested during Norco's DUI checkpoint this past weekend.

In all, 912 vehicles entered the checkpoint and 589 drivers were screened from 7 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday on Hamner Avenue and School Street, according to a Riverside County Sheriff's Department news release.

Forty two drivers were issued citations and 20 vehicles were stored during the operation, according to the news release. 

The checkpoint funded through a grant by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, according to the news release.

The Claremont Police Department will conduct a DUI / Drivers License Checkpoint from 6 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday at an undisclosed location in the city.
