Chino police arrested a man they believe is responsible for 24 incidents of vandalism in a five-day period throughout the city.

Luis Bermudes, 18, was arrested Jan. 2 at his Ontario home and booked at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on suspicion of felony vandalism, according to a Chino news release.

Police believe he caused more than $4,200 in damages from Dec. 22 through 26.

The graffiti was found on traffic signal poles, block walls, curbs, signal control boxes, street signs, windows and restaurant signs along Central and Ramona Avenues as well as Philadelphia Street and Riverside Drive, according to the news release.

Police tracked down Bermudes using the city's new Graffiti Tracker system. Crime analysts connected the graffiti markings to Bermudes through the recognition of his moniker, according to the news release.

To report graffiti for removal, contact Chino's Graffiti Hotline at (909) 591-9837.
