A motorcycle accident has blocked all lanes of the westbound 60 Freeway just west of the northbound 71 in Pomona.

California Highway Patrol dispatch got word of the collision about 10:45 a.m. Officers are still en-route to the scene.

The driver of the motorcycle is down, CHP dispatchers said.

A Sig Alert has been issued on the southbound 15 Freeway, just south of the Cantu Galleano Ranch Road on-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol Web site.

The fast lane is blocked by fire equipment that was assisting with an earlier traffic collision, CHP dispatchers said. Traffic is backed up on the on-ramp.

The Sig Alert was issued at 12:35 p.m., according to the CHP Web site. The road is still not clear and officials do not know how long the Sig Alert will last.

Two lanes of the southbound 15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass are closed because of a minor-injury traffic collision, county fire officials said.

The crash took place at Cleghorn Fire Road.

Six people were injured in a head-on crash Monday evening at Kramer Junction.

Two people received moderate injuries, and four more received minor injuries in the 5:55 p.m. crash, said a county fire dispatch supervisor.

The cars were blocking the roadway on the northbound Highway 395, just north of Highway 58, according to a California Highway Patrol incident website.

A blue Ford Mustang and a silver compact car collided, according to the site.

San Bernardino police had a short pursuit Friday night with a man who wouldn't pull over when they tried to make a traffic stop, officials said.

At 6:30 p.m., police tried to stop a man near a Baker's at 265 N. Waterman Avenue, said Lt. Gwendolyn Waters. The man wouldn't stop and soon crashed into a telephone poll a few minutes later on Fairfax Lane and Sixth Street.

The man tried to flee from police but was arrested for a parole violation and on suspicion of fleeing police.

Coroner's officials identified a 26-yer-old San Bernardino man who died early Thursday morning when his car flew off the 210 Freeway.

At 12:18 a.m., Jesus Vasquez,  was trying to merge from the westbound 210 to the northbound 215 Freeway in a Toyota Camry, when he went through a guardrail and landed on Little Mountain Drive. Vasquez was prnounced dead at the scene.

A car and a cattle truck collided today in the Big River area, releasing cattle onto Highway 62.

There were no people injured in the 2:54 p.m. crash, but many of the 29 cattle in the truck might have to be put down, officials said.

A 23-minute police pursuit through the streets of San Bernardino finally came to an end at 12:20 p.m. in Highland.

A few minutes before noon, police noticed a stolen car in San Bernardino near Baseline and Stoddard Avenue and tried to pull over the driver, said Sgt. Jarrod Burguan.

The man didn't pull over and led police on a pursuit through downtown and then back up to Baseline at speeds that reached 70 miles per hour at some points.

The man finally gave up in Highland and was arrested.

No one was seriously injured in an 11-vehicle crash on the northbound 15 Freeway near the state line with Nevada Friday evening.

Three semi trucks were involved in the 6:25 p.m. crash, said a county fire dispatch supervisor.

Three people were injured, but the injuries were not considered serious.

Officials have released the name of a woman who died Feb. 16 in a crash on Highway 62 in Morongo Valley.

Kimberly Renee Heil, 34, of San Diego, died when the 2003 Honda Element she and another 34-year-old San Diego resident, Christopher Lee Rubino, were in spun out of control and was hit by a truck, according to a coroner's news release.

At 12:25 p.m. that day, the Honda was on Highway 62 at Hoopa Road traveling about 70 miles per hour when it hit water in the road, spun out and went into oncoming traffic. A Ford F-150 pickup truck going about 45 miles per hour hit the Honda broadside. Rubino and Heil were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two people were injured during a head-on collision at Etiwanda and Cedar avenues in Rialto Thursday afternoon.

One of the cars rolled over as a result of the 2:26 p.m. crash, said a county fire dispatch supervisor.

Two people whose conditions were not known needed to be taken to the hospital.

San Bernardino police will be conducting a DUI and driver's license checkpoint Friday.
The checkpoint will take place from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the 1500 block of S. E Street, according to a department news release.

Funding for the checkpoint comes courtesy of the state's Office of Traffic Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The California Highway Patrol's incident website reports that there are several large boulders and a tree stump blocking Highway 18 in the Arctic Circle 1 mile west of Big Bear Dam.

Redlands police arrested a 30-year-old Rialto man early Saturday morning after he drove through a DUI checkpoint late Friday, crashed his car and ran to his girlfriend's house in Highland.

Around 11:30 p.m. Friday, Bryant Jones was drove his Dodge Charger into the checkpoint on Orange Street near San Bernardino Avenue. He told an officer he had a suspended driver's license and then instead of going into a "screening" area as directed, he drove away, according to a Redlands news release.

Redlands police decided not to pursue Jones because he drove through a red light, into oncoming traffic lanes and was going 100 miles per hour during his escape, according to the release.

Sheriff's deputies soon called Redlands police with information that Jones crashed and overturned his car when he reached Boulder Avenue via Orange Street. Then he ran on foot to his girlfriend's house, where police found him.

Jones did have a suspended license for driving under the influence, in addition to more than $300,000 worth of arrest warrants for DUI.

He was taken to Central Detention Center in San Bernardino.

A 63-year-old Yucca Valley man was killed when he walked onto Highway 247 in front of a car and was hit, sending him 30 feet from where the crash took place.

The man, whose name has not yet been released, was hit by a Chevrolet sedan heading north on Highway 247 near Paxton Road, said Sheriff's spokeswoman Arden Wiltshire.

The driver, 27-year-old Johnson Valley resident Brandon Dasilvia, didn't see the man step onto the highway in front of him, according to a Sheriff's news release.

The crash is under investigation.

The man was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, but was pronounced dead soon after the crash.

Three people were transported to local hospitals after the Yucaipa crash on the eastbound 10 Freeway that led to a Sig Alert.

The 6 p.m. crash took place near Yucaipa Boulevard.

A Cal Fire dispatcher said she did not believe the injuries were serious.

Five people were injured when the car they were in left the westbound 10 Freeway in Redlands and rolled over Thursday not long after noon.

The driver, a 21-year-old man, was able to get out of the car east of Mountain View Avenue and refused medical treatment, according to a Redlands news release.

Firefighters had to extricate the four other people inside. They all received more
serious injuries and had to be taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center. A
27-year-old woman had serious head and chest injuries. A four-year-old boy received
moderate lacerations and abrasions. Two other women, 27 and 22, also suffered moderate injuries.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating.

A crash on the eastbound 10 Freeway near Yucaipa Boulevard has caused the California Highway Patrol to issue a Sig Alert.

A number of vehicles were involved in a 6:03 p.m. crash on the eastbound 10 Freeway west of Yucaipa Boulevard in Yucaipa, according to the California Highway Patrol's incident page.

At least some lanes are blocked, and a person may be lying in the roadway.

The 215 Freeway could be closed for up to a week in Murrieta because of a sinkhole that opened near the 15 Freeway, said Caltrans spokeswoman Terri Kasinga.

The pipe needs to be replaced, and the freeway needs to be rebuilt, she said.

The freeway has been closed in both directions.
