The Curtain Call Performing Arts Academy of Corona will present the first in a series of family friendly youth performances on Saturday at 1 p.m. at The Shoppes at Chino Hills, 13920 City Center Drive.
Performances will include fully staged productions featuring student actors and singers from the Inland Empire. Curtain Call Performing Arts Academy performances will also be held in February and March, including a special preview of "The Sound of Music."
Curtain Call Performing Arts Academy of Corona is a non-profit school that offers the Inland Empire an individualized program in the performing arts. The school is staffed by degreed professionals that are hand selected to provide the highest level of education and ensure that students of all ages are given the tools for success in all areas of the arts.
The next program will be held at The Shoppes at 1 p.m. on Feb. 7 and again at 1 p.m. on March 7.
The Wood Ranch BBQ and Grill will open at The Shoppes at Chino Hills on Monday, Nov. 10.
The restaurant will feature steaks, ribs and burgers, among other items. Wood Ranch BBQ and grill, according to owners, provides a districtive, "premium-casual" dining experience.
Radio Disney hosts a free family event at The Shoppes in Chino Hills on Saturday, Nov. 15, in celebration of the new Disney movie "Bolt."
The event, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., featers interactive arts and crafts, "Bolt" themed games and exciting giveaways and prizes. Guests have the opportunity to win one of three family four packs of tickets to see "Bolt."
The city of Chino Hills, in collaboration with The Shoppes at Chino Hills, will provide children with a safe environment for trick-or-treating on Halloween. The event replaces the traditional Trick-or-Treat at City Hall.
Children will participate in a variety of activities, including craft projects, face painting, and a costume contest. The event takes place from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, at The Shoppes, 13920 City Center Drive.

The Shoppes at Chino Hills, near the southeast corner of Peyton Drive and Grand Avenue, will serve as an early voting locations for the upcoming 2008 Presidential Election from noon to 6 p.m. on Oct. 19.
In cooperation with the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters, Shoppes representatives say the lifestyle center will set up an early voting station to help alleviate heavy turn-out at polling places in the Inland Empire.
"We at The Shoppes are proud to do our part to provide a secure and accessible polling place for area residents to cast their vote," said Glenn Miller, director of marketing at The Shoppes.
The service will be free and open to the public with non-partisan voter pamphlets available to assist voters.
