As the season progresses, the high school teams with the dominant pitching rise to the top.

New York City school officials are considering banning metal bats from the high school baseball programs.

Five area high schools are participating in the 16th Annual Arroyo Invitational Softball tournament being held this week at the Whittier Narrows recreational complex.

So the initial reports that the commision that oversees high school competition in Washington state was considering changing its code of conduct for spectators to include a ban on booing was erroneous, it does present an interesting concept.

They are playing for state divisional championships this week and next, but the present format will wind up with five state champions.
