Five area high schools are participating in the 16th Annual Arroyo Invitational Softball tournament being held this week at the Whittier Narrows recreational complex.
Today’s first-round schedule has Bishop Amat playing El Rancho at 4 p.m. on Field 2, Cantwell Sacred Heart playing Hacienda Heights Wilson at 4 p.m. on Field 5, Los Altos meeting Nogales at 6 p.m. on Field 2 and La Serna taking on Montebello at 6 p.m. on Field 5.
Tuesday’s second round finds El Rancho playing Rosemead at 4 p.m. on Field 2, HH Wilson testing Arroyo at 4 p.m. on Field 5, Nogales and Schurr playing at 6 p.m. on Field 2, and Montebello meeting Temple City at 6 p.m. on Field 5.
Wednesday’s final round of pool play starts with Rosemead and Bishop Amat at 4 p.m. on Field 2, Arroyo facing Cantwell Sacred Heart at 4 p.m. on Field 5, Schurr and Los Altos meeting at 6 p.m. on Field 2, and Temple City squaring off against La Serna at 6 p.m. on Field 5.
There are no games scheduled Thursday or Friday (unless there are rainouts during the first three rounds), with play scheduled to resume Saturday at 9 a.m.

Do you have any info on cal hi or El Rancho's head coach hiring. I heard that interviews for cal is thursday, lets talk alittle about football have you heard anything new going on. How about anybody did santa fe get a new transfer or was that a rumor, any school get new transfers. Whats going on!!
