Correspondents needed to cover football games

| | Comments (2) |

We are looking for correspondents to cover Friday night football games. It does not require heavy duty writing, just accuracy, some knowledge of the game and the ability to make deadline. In some cases this season, we'll merely ask that you call in the box score with a recap of the game. A press pass will be provided to enable you to cover games from the sidelines or in the press box, and there will be a small monetary compensation for you time and effort. If you're a journalism major or thinking about it, this is ideal. If you're a football junkie who can spell, this would be great. If interested, please send an email with contact information to set up an interview to roger.murray@sgvn.com.

Mr. Murray, Mike Bultsma here, defensive co-ordinator for Whittier Christian football...Back in the day when I was in high school, I used to do exactly this, act as a correspondent to the Press Telegram paper calling in football info. Just a suggestion, but you might want to contact area schools/principals/AD's/coaches directly, asking if they have a student willing to take on the correspondent roles. Just a thought.
