It is no secret that several area high school football programs will be
relying on transfers this season.
It is a talented group of athletes but the question is how much will
they impact their new teams?
Nothing is guaranteed. Will they fit into the systems?
Will their arrival disrupt the chemistry already established?
The following are most of the area's transfers. Briefly, which of the
top five, or 10, among them will make the biggest impact on their new
teams?

Hail to the Swordsmen,

I think it is a perfect reason to hate SP for stealing program players. Your school basically recruit players but what did it do for you guys? Nothing. Oh and that SP chant "Champions of the World!" What the heck is that? You guys aren't champions of anything, let alone "the world."

edit: my mistake, you guys are champions of illegal recruiting.

Aubrey cant do anything at SP with that running back coach. 8 carries I mean how does he run tosses with a 230 pound back. SP "O" coaches need some direction. Run between the tackles.

1 for 12 Good thing Saint Paul recruited one guy that could catch! Not a hater just an observer!

It's true about the transfers. If coaches are going to take athletes from other schools at least play them. Think about it coaches your cheating the other schools. That's totally wrong. SP you have some great players utilize them.

SO MUCH FOR SAINT PAULS TRANSFERS HAVING AN IMPACT IN THERE FIRST GAME AND FOR ALL YOU FOOLS WHO THOUGHT SAINT PAUL HAD A CHANCE AGAINST SERVITE WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE

St. Paul cheats by getting all these transfer and still gets smashed by Servite. Good job.

To all the haters (WOW!) who rip on st. paul for finally catching up in the recruiting game that everyone has been playing for years, jealousy is not your best color. In case you forgot we lost our best running back, MIDSEASON, to cal hi last year. Dont hate because you lost out on the guys we got. HAIL, HAIL, TO ST. PAUL HIGH, CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!

Wow Wow! said:

Can't blame the St. Paul transfers for wanting to step up there game and play against the best, along with getting a great education and tons of support from the administration and community!

Hats off to the recruiting coordinator at Saint Paul. Talk about a great list of illegal transfers. I think that is the best way to be successful. Instead of coaching your players for four years, go and cheat other schools out of theirs! Nice work!!

I dont understand why there arent more rivalry games between bordering cities (ie sfs,la habra,la mirada,etc...)

I follow all teams and i wonder why la mirada plays teams like the likes of paramount and charter oak, and not teams like Cal High and Santa Fe...

To be honest most of those transfers will make little difference for the Matadores, seeing they will not make it past 1st round cif losing big time players such as Josh Robbins and Keith McGill in the receiving slots, and Tyler Halstead and Josh Lomeli on defense...
'
Santa Fe without a doubt is the most talented team in the area, and should go far in the playoffs this season.
Good Luck all teams

Tammy, was the he the QB for Fullerton last season, if so I watched him play against Santa Fe, they played a pretty good game and could have beaten santa fe.

la mirada is gonna suck this year. they're really cocky and need someone to put them in their place.

zack salerno....pshh

Hey Murray or whomever it may concern,
I know this is off topic, but any news on who got the LS baseball job?

BIG TEX said:

Look for La Mirada's new edition of Rashon Newkirk to have a huge impact. Very explosive and talented player. I watched their intersquad scrimmage the team has good size and a nice group of runningbacks.

LM PUNKS said:

I THINK SALERNO FROM LM WILL HAVE AT LEAST 1200 YDS RUSHING THIS SEASON HE WILL BE THE BIGGIST IMPACT PLAYER FROM ALL THE TRANSFERS HE HAS ALL THE SKILL AND KNOWLEGE AS FOR THE TEAM IT WILL BE I PREDICT THEM MAKING IT TO THE PLAYOFFS AND BEATING SAINT PAUL

Those 5 trasnfers we got are some quality kids, Aldecoa and Galan are only JR's, Ayala and Tate are only Soph's. Its nice to know we will still have these kids after this season. Galan has looked awesome at RB. Travis is huge, the last time we had a 6'4 linemen at ER was back in 2001. No doubt Galan, Aldecoa and Schafer will have a huge impact at ER, Ayala and Tate will get some playing time and will do some good things. Looks like this entire area got some quality transfers, the level of play should be alot higher this season. The Del Rio league is going to be vasty improved.
