Downey owns schurr they been playing downey since 1990 and i believe only beat them 4 times. Good or bad downey is always a good game for schurr.

Relax. It was a game in Montclaire and article probably didn't make it on time for press. Pioneer is mentioned in Murray's new blog.
Just do the Titan community a favor and don't play the "lack of respect" card.

Pioneer HS is in the youth section along with the Whittier Redskins, Pico Rivera Dons and El Monte Jets.
EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT SANTA FE, LA HABRA, etc.. WHAT ABOUT WHITTIER THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THEY BEAT BG SINCE 1990 WHEN THEY WON THE WHITMONT LEAGUE. AGAIN WATCH OUT FOR THE CARDINALS THEY ARE IN ATTACK MODE AND THEY WILL CHALLENGE FOR THE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP. STAND BY!
Downey is not a good team this year... Schurr is not great, but they will crush Downey....
Cant wait till Schurr plays that cocky a$$ Montebello team (0-2). We may just send the J.V team!!!!!

i was at the schurr game and i agree that the offense did not move the ball extremely well.....but i thought that with jordan(coach) gone dick was going to line up and run the ball 40 times a game....this was not the case....they actually looked pretty balanced they didnt connect on alot of plays but they were there.....a 60 yard bomb was dropped....a 25 yard td pass was called back...#11 was wide open in the endzone on a pass and the qb over threw the tightend.....and they went for a td on 4th and 1 and couldnt get in.....will the spartans be as good as last year? probably not but i think they will be ok...

Although i am a big Schurr fan, That was the worst team (BurroughS)they have had in 10 years... we will find out more next week against downey..
3 of shurrs td's came off of turnovers, they can not move the ball against a bad team.?? are they missing jordan??
Is Pioneer High School considered an NFL team now? I don't see them in the "Prep" section.
What section in the paper do I go look at to read about the game they played on Friday?
Wow! Schurr looked impressive last night. Their defense was swarming to the ball. Very impressed by a well coached team.
Knowing how the Santa Fe Coaching Staff reacts to losses, I can only feel sorry for those boys. Guess this proves that it is talent and not coaching that has helped Santa Fe win.
The blood is in the water and the sharks are circling. Get it all out why you can because we STUNK up the turf tonight! And is doesn’t get any easier down the road. Is it possible that my beloved Chiefs could go 0-5 into a much-improved league??? Get the film and study it well DRL!
