sp alum ,

I read your once again silly blog! First, when you say that no transfers were aloud when Coach A was there is wrong! Do you remeber Deondre Scott? Do you remember Nick Grisby? just to name a few. And for whats its worth, Ive been watching St.Paul play football for over 20 years. The talent level is not that high. So when they win a game its usually a good mixture of coaching and the boys executing. So when you say that theres talent I really dont know where your looking.
As for Coach A, not taking anything from him because he had his time. But by all means, his time passed him. Those glory days that you still live in are long gone.
Finally, the worst part of this is that you as a alum have no pride in your school. How can you sit there and blast a team that won league and is in the playoffs? Ive said it before , its real easy to take shots at people behind a screen name. Have the pride you claim you have and let people know who you are. That might be to much to ask for in your case. As for the coaching staff and players, good luck tonight! Play hard .

The only thing that you and anyone like you from LS can ever rule are the teams that you are lucky enough to beat.

If you think that LS can match up to SPHS, then encourage your Coaches and Athletic Director to schedule it ASAP.

You have no idea of what it takes to be in a Football Program and College Prepatory like ours.

Congratulations to the 2007 SWORDSMEN on their Mission League Championship!

Big Unk,

I usually don't agree with your write ups, but you made a good point with the coaching staff believing the next frosh class will become CIF champs. This years class as freshmen were 13-1, beating teams from Santa Margarita, Orange Luthern, LB Poly, St. Boneventure, and only losing to Notre Dame. Let's see they are 5-4 with underclass men filling key spots, when all those boys sit and watch from the sidelines.

Just noticed something about the blogger named, "James Cervantes #65". He mentions that, "talk is cheap", in his post. However, if your read the archive blogs for November 13, 2006 under, "Who has the best chance?" He refers to the Freeway League as "SISSY'S". My guess is that he spoke to soon, then was rolled, 35-12. One would think he learned a lesson, but he decided to speak up again. James, take your own advise. Good luck in the playoffs, play hard and be safe.

Ryan,

Obviously you haven't seen Rudy Jordan play and have only been to the Whittier games this year or something, ask all the players of teams that Jordan has played against if he finishes runs. He is one of the hardest hitters on our team, and he does finish his runs - in the end zone. Our line is hands down worst then Whittier's line, the problem with Whittier is that by the end of the season enough coaches have realized how to stop their offense and besides running the ball they have nothing else, that why your trying to blame the line. But you weren't blaming them at that beginning of the season, were you! If you saw Jordan play you would see how he has to break 3 or 4 tackles just to get 5 yards, he's a warrior out their. And if the line does make one good block, guess what? He's gone because he can finish his runs with speed. What the Whittier RB's don't have. Every run he has broke has been gone this year, you can't say that about the Whittier running backs, because #5 broke against us but got caught - that doesn't happen with Jordan. Any coach in the league would take Jordan over either of those running backs, he's way more verstaile. And I still don't understand when their is no hole are you supposed to just run into the back of your lineman? Or try and make a play. Jordan tries to make plays when their is nothing there, thats why he bounces it outside cause he's smart. Why take a beating if you don't have too. And Whittier's running backs wouldn't be rushing for a lot of yards this year, and last year also if their line was as bad as you claim it to be. It always starts with the line. And their are holes their for the running backs, or they wouldn't get any yards because they aren't quick as Jordan and they can't pop it outside and make something happen. Their not those type of backs. Plain and simple they are move the chain backs, well Jordan is a move the chain back but at any point in the game he can be gone. You can't say that for those two running backs and thats the truth. Thats why he deserves MVP- he is always making a play to help his team win as well as being a game changing player.
And the cal hi d-line and o-line are doing pretty good but they are a unit - how do you give a unit MVP. All of them make plays, I think it would be unfair to single out one of them.

This is for those of you who have insisted that we "stand behind our children." Well, when we see the injustices that are going on at St. Paul, that is what we do. Stand up for our children! This isn't the St. Paul that we all are accustomed to. This is a product of Pete Gonzalez, Gil Jimenez, Marc Hernandez, and the infamous Mr. Lorenzello. The four of you conspired to force Marion Ancich out of the program and you did just that....

During the Ancich era, transfers were not allowed. Now they are everywhere. Just look for the kids walking around who don't fit the St. Paul image. I can say this because I played football at St. Paul. I know what it's like to where the blazer, pre-game dinners, rosary before and after the game, win a championship, PAY TUITION!!!!!!!

We send our kids to St. Paul because we want them to experience what we did as a student / athlete. What kind of loyalty are you showing to the "home grown" kids who started there as freshman, and have always wanted to go there since grade school.

What is the reason kids are transferring to St. Paul? Good coaching? Win championships? Receive a scholarship? Well none of the above has happened since the four of you took over. Or is it the free Catholic education?

It's interesting how the program has been taken over by you outsiders, and now all the transfers are coming in. The rumors that are out there about one of you coaches in particular, is enough to get the average coach / teacher fired. Yet, Mr. Lorenzello continues to ignore the rumors despite parents complaints to him.

It's a classic case of win at all cost, despite who it affects. Who cares about morality, education, ethics....Lets show everybody I was right by letting Ancich go and hiring the Athletic Directors friend. Lets be proud that the head Coaches brother was making a spectacle on the side lines, what is he doing there? He is not a coach or an administrator. Could you imagine that happening at Servite, Mater Dei?

That's what St. Paul is now. A product of their four leaders.

Hey SP, looks like all the things I said earlier this season are finally rearing its head.I saw the same bad coaching last year and if not for a stellar defense you would'nt have gotten as far as you did last season. These coaches continually have made bad calls and have allienated many players.Sure you might still pull a few tallented players but your losing others (Aldecoa.Salerno,Galan).And even when you get the talent its not like your developing it.The three players mentioned may have moved on to a lower division but I can bet they will finish their high school football careers 10x more improved than had they stayed at SP.So all you miopic coach G supporters keep burrying your heads in the sand and keep believing each frosh class is the next CIF champion.Eventually reallity will catch up to you and that might just happen this week. DEL RIO LEAGUE:The Del Rio League has good teams that can be great.El Rancho can spoil California's perfect season if they win on friday night.El Rancho most likely would end up playing La Habra or Westminster in the first round.

ALMONT LEAGUE:The Almont league looks very competitive, but the strength of schedule is really weak. The teams look very unpredictable, but they seem to be knocked out of the first round. The only team who has the potential of advancing is Schurr.

GOLDEN WEST LEAGUE:Westminster is one of the teams to be beat in the playoffs.Oceanside and Santa Ana will have problems in the playoffs.

MISSION VALLEY LEAGUE:Most likely the weakest league in the SE division. The league should look into making some miracle plays because they will need them.Arroyo's quarterback is great;from mechanics to

I agree the OF line did give Paul time to pass. But deciding to run or not, because of fear I think is a question best answered by Paul not you. Regarding Audrey I saw him come off the field several times limping as if his ankle was hurt. If in fact his ankle was hurting, then playing him sparingly to not risk a more serious injury, was the right thing to do.

While I do agree with you that the M.V.P. should come from a winning team I dont agree with you on many levels. Rudy Jordan may deserve M.V.P. but Whittier does not have a better line then La Serna. La Serna's is much better. Just because Enriquez does not take away from what Quezada has accomplished. The Wing-T is a three back offense. Last year they had three backs over 800 yards and Isaac Garcia still shared the M.V.P. Whittiers running backs run harder then Rudy Jordan period no comparison. Rudy Jordan has not finished a run all season if there is no hole he bounces outside and won't turn up field unless theres an opening. The Whittier guys work for their yards they accomplished this with a poor offensive line and poor passing game. But that being said M.V.P. shoud go to a guy on a winning team. Rudy Jordan does also play defense. But how about a Cal Hi Offensive/Defensive lineman for M.V.P. they have dominated the most.

Also they are not pre-season games they are non-league games. Playoffs are not what matters when it comes to league M.V.P. the teams vote before the playoffs start. And how do you know how your going to do in the playoffs they haven't started yet.

LS Fan said:

Joe,

I have to disagree with your DRL league picks. First off, MVP is the most valuable player to his team. If you take Quezada off of Whittier they have another RB who is just as good, with good numbers - so obviously that has to tell you that their line if pretty good.
Rudy Jordan on the other hand has to earn his yards and he has been consistent every single game. And if you take him away from the our Lancers we would be in trouble - he plays defense, runs back punts, kick returns, and is probably the most football smart kid in the entire area. The Whittier running backs are pretty good but you can't compare them to Jordan. And guess what the MVP helps their team WIN, wow Whittier has beaten Pioneer. League and playoffs are what count, not preseason - and that shows for Whittier and Pioneer. He should get offensive player of the year, but with his team not winning he doesn't deserve MVP. And hands down Nick Alvarez is Defensive MVP, he is almost averaging 12 tackles a game, any coach is the league would take him on their team to lead their defense, no question.

Saint Paul's loses this year has shown one great weakness, overall team speed. In the majority of their lopsided wins, they played teams that were slower. In their two close contests (1 win and 1 lose against Redondo Union and Bishop Amat), the two teams appeared to be roughly the same speed. However in their loses to (Servite, Crespi, and Alemany) the winning teams were definitely faster. The 8 yard bull runs now became 1 to 3 yard runs as the defense could react and stop the play quicker. Passes that went for 60 yards against La Mirada became interceptions against Alemeny as the DB's were much faster and were available to close the gap when the ball was in the air. Inexperience and the resulting poor judgement at a key offensive position tended to escalate the problem. I disagree with all the SP fans who think that they should only run and that the star running back will win the games. Any good opposing defensive coach should set up his defense to stop the run (would we be able to run against our own defense) and to make us pass. Most of time in the game last week the run did not work, it was only late in the 4th quarter when the score was out of hand that we were able to run. COACH; Keep up the passing, pass on unlikely downs, and don't rely on the inexperience key player who looked great against the slower teams, he needs to improve his judgement, decision making and leadership skills.

Last but not least, if you people really want to see where the game is won. Go to a practice at St.Paul and you will never complain again. I promise you that. You will see who's practicing and who's not! The thing that i like the most about our coaching staff is that no one player is bigger than the team. First off nobody on here said anything about any players specificly.. Ill be the first to defend any player starter or not on how hard they work and what they deserve. I guess that's what my problem is . I know how hard these boys work and to see it come down to some play calling or some coach that has to much pride to change his play calling then damn right ima stand up and say something. Wheter it be here, in the stands, or at the weekly film review. I've been there (wish I could go more but due to other priority with family I can't) and have actually talked to pete and some of the other staff . wheter they took it and ran with it or one ear out the other I had to atleast get that off my chest with them. And for those that say " its not the coachs fault" and "were still behined you" you gotta be kidding me.. If your fine with sitting back and looking at this year go down the drain with all the talent we have that's on you but I been around this game for way to long and know what the problem is.. Be nieve if you want. Or in some cases that I see keep smouching to pete for some more playing time for your son. For me I could careless I know my sons have enough talent to start at this program or any for that matter but it shouldn't even have to come down to the politics or what not.. Play your best players. Use your best playmakers. And don't get out coached week in and week out. If that's to hard. STEP DOWN and give someone else a try. And the whole aubrey beign hurt thing is non accurate. Talking with his dad and also seeing him countless times come off the field frustrated with the way he is used and asking for the ball more I just don't believe it. There's more to that story people just are nieve and believe what they want. With all this beign said I can only hope we take care of buisness come friday. I've never questioned the work ethic of these coachs just do not fold come game time. And a big game like this I can only watch and pray. GO ST. PAUL!

To whom it may concern,

It was the guy and his two sons that started it. How can you people condone a fan spitting at the opposing team walking through the alley? That guy was screaming at the top of his lungs. Using profanity , calling the opposing team weak, they suck and all other kinds of foul crap. And on top of all of that he has the nerve to challenge 4 or 5 different woman to a sreaming match. That guy got exactly what he deserved.A trip to the pokey.
As for the coaching, yes it was a little slow .But what most people dont know is that Aubrey hurt his ankle and was asking to come out of the game. How are going to risk the whole season like that?
My son plays for St.Paul and has not seen the field one time this year. You dont hear me crying the blues like most other parents .Coach Gonzales is not the only coach there. They have a whole staff that works together. So i offer you disgruntled parents this, show up for films and give your opinions when it really counts. Face to face. You people are trying to point the finger at 1 person and thats not fair. What are you people thinking about? This is hs football and not the nfl.
St paul has had it share of success this year and its funny how people only say things when they loose.

At the chaminade game I was sitting right by the whole inncident and because a parent was expressing his thoughts on your brothers "wonderful" play calling his wife, sisters whatever that sit up there go and run to you and u felt like a big man yelling from down on the field up to the stands when you know there's a lot of people in between you guys. tell that guy to his face in an ally and see what would of happen you hide down on the field and behined the keyboard on here... that's one reason I refuse to sit by any of that family in the stands I'm going to yell what I feel like since I pay my $5 like everyone else and pay and support my son to go to what I thought would be a great football program from top to bottom now let me stop there the program is outstanding and have no regrets other then the coaching.. Aside from the Defensive coachs the rest are no better at play calling then pee wee football coachs... petes done a horriable job this year with his play calling... handing the ball off to 5'4 "FB" #48 on a straight dive when your behined on alemany when you have aubry and luis is a joke... you beat chaminade on a strong running game but yet to come out throwing vs alemany..???? I'm just gonna keep it recent cuz this could go on forever so I wount bring up the earlier part of the season ... ummm like going for it on 4th down before half vs crespi when we could of took the 3 into halftime....!! That game I felt the worst for my son and the boys they played there hearts out and lost that game due to coaching ... as well as this last alemany game... I guess its true what they were saying in the stands..."less talent with better coachs beat teams with more talent and bad coachs"... I tell you what though I have a younger son coming up in 2 years that may have more talent then my current one ( o and he is a 2 year starter so no bitterness from there) and I refuse to put him in this program with pete at the helm.. I will be looking at other programs. However I don't think that it is far fetched that his days at SP are numbered. You can't win with this talent good luck next year.. I don't know what goes thru his head come game time... FEED AUBRY a big RB like that needs to be feed until he can't take no more.. Ride him ride him ride him... I wouldn't be surprised if we don't make playoffs with this predictable pete offense...

When, where, how long, and at how many levels did you Play & Coach? said:

Attn: St. Paul H. S. Football supporters-alums-parents-relatives and critics, here's the bottom line...the SPHS Coaching Staff probably doesn't have minute or care to review the comments here or heard elsewhere.

Let's all keep remarks about the Players thoughtful, since each Player mentioned is most likely better than any of us ever were at this level.
A single Player should never be faulted on a Team, as each play is the responsibility of all on the field including Coaches. Ultimately it's the Coaches making the play and personel selections. Certainly they can confide or assist each other from the SL, lift or booth.

Alemeny was very good, and now the SWORDSMEN have to be better than ever in this week's must win game against St. Francis.
I'm confident the right adjustments will be made this week as SPHS Players and Staff prepare for the Mission League tie-breaker & Championship game.
May The Lord keep all involved safe this week.

GO BIG BLUE! Beat the Golden Knights!!!!!

Joseph,

I know your brother is trying to help you out, but you need to recognize when you’re into over your head, I have been to a lot of SP games this year: Varsity / JV / Frosh, the play selection for Varsity/JV has been horrible, I can’t believe that you’re still trying to run these old schemes from the 90’s. I do agree with some bloggers, if it weren’t for the defense there’s no way this team would compete this year. Please do everyone a favor and step down…Next years JV team will be a force, Coach Avina Sr./Jr. as done an incredible job on preparing the current Freshmen class.
Here’s an idea….Why don’t they have the Frosh coaching staff move up with the players. With this move, you can have a bite of consistence in your program and I know the play selection will be better then it is now. SP has some excellent coaches on their staff. Example: Coach Jimenez, Kasey, Avina Sr./Jr., Romo, Camacho…. I bet if you can find the right chemistry, this program can once again be the program it once was….

What can i say?

You guys are just like my ex-girlfriends. Im not answering your calls anymore. Stop calling !!
Good Luck to St Paul this week.

hsfootballfan said:

Joseph,

That because we can call better plays form the stands. Dont SMART coahes at least teach QB's audibles, you think he would do thst but doesnt, dont SMART coaches change formations when they run they dame plays, he doesn't...He is a hard worker ill give him that, but he constantly gets outcoached on Fridays...Thanks to the D-Coordinator the St. Paul can still win league...Btw if that was you from the Chaminade game, way to be embarrasing not only to you brother but the SP Fans

SP fan said:

Joseph,

Is it true you were being a tough guy at the Chaminade game? That is sad, you talk trash to people in the stands knowing that kids sit there and you arent even reprimanded. That was classless and shouldve never happened. Stop calling people out on these boards. Face it your brother sucks.

This blog must have a wide distribution to it. We hear about Schurr, Cantwell, Monetbello and St Paul. I thought the peeps of the Del Rio League were a handful, but all U non-del rio types sure love to express your opinion. God bless the freedom of speech. I would only like to express that I wish we could the comments about the players to a minimum. These athletes do all they can to support their team and do what that coach tells (asks) them to do.
God bless our players in all the effort we ask of them and what they give us!

just to stir up some talk...

DRL Awards,

MVP-Rudy Jordan La Serna, seriously he is the most valuable player to his team...LS would not win more than 2 league games without him...and he excels at defense too.

Offensive MVP- Jonathan Quezada Whittier...plain and simple "a scoring machine"

Defensive MVP (tie)- Drew Harris Cal
As much as he overrated at QB, Harris led the best defense in the DRL in INT's and always seems to be around the ball.
Nick Alvarez- La Serna
always in on basically every tackle

Coach of the Year
Arnold- Cal
Did what Ancich couldnt do...Win the DRL "fairly"

since the DRL is stacked with RB's im just gonna do my All-League selections for that only...

1st Team
Jasper Meza- Cal
Daniel Enriquez- Whittier

2nd Team
Aaron Turner- SF
Matt Urquiza-Cal

Oh stop it La Habra fan. We all know that you are the best team the area, we all know you will more than likely win the division. You have excellent coaches, excellent players and a great fan base. However, this holier than thou crap and this vendetta about how you're not getting any recognition has to stop. Are you just making this crap up to motivate your players to make them feel like there is some lack of respect against your program? Are you serious? If you need that to motivate yourselves, you'll be the victims of another upset. Start acting like champions instead of whiners.
You guys have it. Everybody knows it and everybody is paying attention. You are not being ignored, you send your highlights into Roggins heroes every week. So I'm going to tell you La Habre fans, you are getting really annoying.

SpartanAlum86 said:

While I tend to agree that La Habra is the best team in the area this year, I will also say they dont like to get hit. So let this be notice to anyone who might draw them in the playoffs. Tighten up your chinstraps, and come ready to play. You will have a fighting chance. Just watch game film from the Schurr game last year. If you dont, you will be in for a long night.

What should have been a tough Mission league battle, turned into a desparate game of catch up last Friday at SPHS.
When not utilizing the talent on the field and team, the enevitable result is a total COACHING, PROGRAM AND TEAM LOSS.
The ability to overcome player mistakes by players on the field and coaches builds character and potential champions, but coaching mistakes can ruin a good team. Why run plays that are obviously well read by the opponent a second and even a third time?
A good staff uses all their weapons in every way, and one tends to wonder; Are the coaches listening to each other or even speaking up during a game to benefit the players on the field and team?
We all know that "coaches can't suit up and play" but this was not the case last Friday. This was the game that all coaches on staff need to ask themselves and each other; did they really do their best effort so far this season?
Now is the time, today right here right now, not after the St. Francis game to adjust the game plan. Use your players and plays that work. You have been physically dominating teams, including the losses to Bishop Amat and Crespi. Those teams know the truth that certain offensive and defensive sets were unstopable, just use them more and see if anyone can stop that kind of power. You do not need to move from an effective running game to prove you can pass.
You beat last years league champ Chaminade with pronbably over 450 yards on the ground and only a couple of completions, why get so complex with doubles when not needed or effective? Keep Haynes and Garcia in the game more often and tell them to run staight pass the L.O.S. then make a cut or run over a DB. If your QB is not accurate, give him some sideline coaching for a couple of plays and try your All-League junior returner or your proto-type 6'4 sohpmore transfer.
Trust your O-line and TE's more to win this critical and decisive game, and even try throwing to the TE as a primary reciver that was wide open several times. Run your 60 Defense and go beat St. Francis for a league title

Hey LGM,

Paul Lopez is afraid of getting hit. I was there and he had lots of chances to run with the ball and he just stood there. His line was giving him plenty of time to pass or run. The same thing happened his freshmen year. Paul is just afraid of getting hit. Wake up coaches the only time we got yardage was when Hanes was on the field. What were the coaches thinking? If we were scoring and gaining yardage with Hanes, why waste time with Paul? Maybe, you should try the other quarterbacks.

Go St. Paul!!!

LGM said:

Big SP supporter, and felt for the defense who were on the field for a long time! Credit to Alemeny's coaches for play selection, they kept our defense on their heels all night. I hope the HC becomes less predictable and gives his offense a chance to score. Why we continue to force the run on 4x4 defenses, which we see often makes no sense. Try mixing it up, past on 1st and 2nd down set up the longer passes with shorter routes etc. be less predictable with your existing repertoire of plays. Also Paul Lopez is more athletic than a pure drop back passer roll him out more often, with his ability to run he become a defenses worst nightmare a running QB

In The Stands said:

How could say jordan is overated? He makes plays when there is nothing. When he does get a little opening and he busts. He is one of the top players in the area without a doubt. La Serna would not be as good without him. And it dosent help when all the teams focus on shutting HIM down. And what about the possibility of LA SERNA VS. SCHURR. What a game it would be...

Friar Guy said:

Hank,

Say what? SP wasnt beat by a better team they were beat by better coaches. You are crazy making that statement.

Hank said:

Unfortunately, SP was beat by a better team. Alemany isn't what it used to be.

They've got new coaches (Herrington's) , who led those powerhouse Hart HS teams. Hart HS were CIF Champions in 95', 98', 99', 00', 01' and 03'. They produced Kyle Boller, Matt Moore, and Jerry Owens.

When they left to Alemany they too brought a ton of transfers to their school. Look for Alemany to become a Div3 powerhouse real soon.

Lancers played lightsout! plain and simple... SF looked like they were not ready... running around with their headcut off is one thing that comes to mind!

Santa Fe will find a way to get the victory and finnish srong... haven't seen them play this bad since probably my Sr year there...

Anonymous said:

SP got outcoached and outplyed by a okay Alemany team.

They had to know the Alemany would pass the ball. We made their QB look like the second coming of Joe Montana. It wasn't like he was all that great of a passer. He'd heave to a spot and the reciever would run under it. Our guys were getting beat all night.

And why wasn't Haynes used more. He was non existent on the field in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

I've been a big homer for SP this year but it looked we were looking past Alemany at St. Francis.

They play that way this Friday and we end up watching the playoff from the sidelines.

hsfootballfan said:

Anonymous,

Why do you put these jokes up trying to state that Cantwell can play with DRL teams...honestly you gotta be kidding yourself...you must be on the team...and how in world would you put yourself 3rd in the area in front of St. Paul...they whooped on you guys for 3 quarters and then the back ups whooped on you in the 4th...so that would put you ummm...not even in the top 5 bc La Serna would beat you guys and so would anybody else in the DRL...and dont forget the Almont league would wipe the floor with you too.

Ryan said:

I'm sorry how does Cantwell play a tougher schedule then del rio league teams? Thats ridicoulos. Lets be honest the only one they played was St. Paul and the got smashed. Yeah u beat Verbum :Dei this year. But last year you lost to them 64-0 and Whittier the third place team in the del rio league and beat them 23-13. Have a decent team for more then one year then talk. Compete in your horrible weak division then talk. Other then that relax. Open your eyes. The Del Rio league in non league games has winning records against all other leagues in our division. So our league is not weak sorry.

Are you guys kidding, Cal isn't even that good and for Jordan being overhyped, why does he have more TD's then both of Cal Hi's running back combined and all those yards - and the La Serna line isn't even that good. They finally showed up last week, first time all year or else his TD's and yards would be way more. Do you know how much coaches and players in the DRL hope that Jordan doens't get any open area to run, because they know he's gone. And for Cantwell they lost to Don Bosco Tech, end of discussion - don't ever mention them again. Talk about overhyped, Drew Harris is the worst QB in the DRL - but he hands off the ball great. Lets see what Cal Does in the playoffs - especially when they meet La Habra.

hey in the know.... are you insane? Have you seen how Jack And Jeff have screwed things up for the boys this year!! Whatever they had, they lost it!! It started showing up in the finals against Schurr. At the end of that game Jack even had the nerve to blame one of the kids!! So your wrong in thinking they have a good coach!!

In the know said:

pioneer will win because they have to they need to make the playoffs and its the last time for all those seniors.

Santa fe will win because there coach knows how to win and there is know way they are gonna miss the playoffs

Well as much as I hate to say this Cal will win and claim the del rio league title because there hungry for it and they dont wanna share it.

Look up CAL in the dictionary. It will read this; 2007 DRL league champs!

You know what I noticed, Pioneer fans have not blogged for a while. I wonder why?

Everyone leave Rudy Jordan alone. It's not his fault he was over hyped.

How about La Habra tearing it up? OMG they clearly are the best team in the area. disagree? With St. Paul losing (again) that makes Cal the next big thing. Coming in third; Cantwell. Sorry DRL, you guys just aren't up to their par. I don't want to read stuff like you guys are better than Cantwell. You clearly didn't prove it this year and Cantwell did. The facts are in the stats. Cantwell will dominate everyone except CAL High. If you think this is funny just look at your schedule..now that's funny. Open your eyes there are football teams outside the DRL. Quite frankly, way better teams. As a matter of fact, Montebello fits nicely should fit in with the DRL. That is how bad you guys are. HA HA HA.

The Lancers were great, on both sides of the ball.

The team really played their hearts out and it showed from the first kick to the last possession.
The coaches had a very well planned out 4 quarters, it was a fantastic game to watch.
SF started to give us a heart attack when #45 Turner had a awesome 95 yard return for the touch down - however our kids didn't let that change their focus and it showed.
Great game Lancers!!!!!
