There is life after football ...
It was a fine football season, and now it's time to give some thought to the winter sports.
That doesn't mean to stop posting football, but a lot of what is coming now is rehashing old stuff that's already been rehashed - several times.
It would be nice to hear some thoughts from basketball, soccer, water polo and wrestling folk.
Just a suggestion.

I usually don’t reply on websites but you contain a quantity of good quality comprehensible article.
I like the writing relevancy of your website and it will a beautiful decent work of presenting the info.
Can I just answer what a pain relief en route for hit upon a star who actually understands what theyre talking regarding on top of the internet. You absolutely identify how toward bring an problem to brightness plus build it significant. Extra people call for to read this plus realize this side of the narrative. I cant believe youre not more fashionable since you certainly have the gift.
This made me smile and hopefully after your last post it will do the same for you:
Money is the root of all evil, and man needs roots.
The thing is that - this wont work efficiently at all. Crazy idea, EOT!
SP Parent,
There is no way any kid from St. Paul would wrestle for the 2008 season. CIF need to be notified before the November deadline. If anyone wants to wrestle next year as a Freelance wrestler, they will need to have the A.D. from SPHS issue proper paperwork to the CIF office. I heard this kid (M. Vega) is very athletic. If he could somehow find time to wrestle for his school that would be monumental for a current nonexistent program.
“St. Paul Swordsmen Wrestling” That has a nice ring to it….
To all,
My son is currently attending SPHS, there has been roamers that a kid name (Vega) was going to request for a freelance status to be eligible to represent St. Paul, can this be done? I asked my son who would be coaching him? Apparently his Dad has been coaching him and some other kids from a local youth wrestling club. Can someone shed some light if this is true?
voice from the past---
Why don't you list what traditions you think are gone and explain the history of them. If you can't-shut up! Remember the kids may be starting new traditions! There is noting wrong with that! Some of the traditions of the past have seen better days. Coaches used to wear shirts and ties and some even the blazers when they were coaching. Coach A changed that. Do you think he was wrong? Get over it already!

this goes to show you that 95% of the blogs in here are from non knowers of SPHS. yes SP had wrestling, but you have to go past the 90's into the 80's and 70's. but im sure you and all the bloggers dont even know about that fine era of SP. thats why when i read your 00's and 90's reference i laugh, thats as far as you all know. theres a tradition far greater at SP that all you kids will never even be able to talk about. so dont try because i sit here and read all your bs blogs of that fine era. all you bloggers think the tradition is now,, ha,, the tradition is far dead at SP. The ghost of TRUE swordsmen are rolling over with all the bs that goes on now. theres things going on at SP that started 5,6 10 yrs ago and your calling it tradition. look up the word then ask a REAL SWORDSMEN. maybe you'll learn about the REAL SP. because it isnt there now.
Yo, SPF@N,
No plans for wrestling at St. Paul, at least for the time being. No request for "reinstatement" of the sport, although I'm not sure if St. Paul ever had wrestling.
Can anyone tell me if the roamers are true….SPHS has petitioned to reinstate a wrestling program? If so there are a couple of kids attending SP that have wrestled for CAGWA and could become state champs for this new program.
my predictions for the del rio league this year:
1. Cal Hi
2. La Serna
3. Santa Fe
4. Pioneer
5. El rancho
6. Whittier
Here are the results for today's games in the St Paul Tournament.
Western Christian 3- John Glenn 1
Sonora 2- Cathedral 1
Firebaugh 2- St Paul 1
For St Paul, Adrian Montecinos scored off a Derek Gallo Assist

We'd post more about other stuff if we didn't have to wait a day for it to be approved.
The wide world of sports. Lets not stop with football. Roger has it right!.
I have been out this winter to see how the Del Rio boys basketball teams are shaping up for they're season. As week 1 approaches we'll get down to the predictions. But for know lets all support HS athletics and catch a game.
BTW, Whittier City Councilman Greg Nordbak encourages everyone to do the same after every council meetings.
Happy Holidays to all.
