Does anyone know the official 1st and 2nd team All-League for Del Rio in Boy's and Girl's and who were the MVP's? Mr Murray can you help me out here?

I agree with you DRL fan, Drew was the MVP. These coaches need to grow up and vote correctly. They are grown men and they vote like kids.

to observor-i dont know where you got your information but the calhi administration never had a talk with him about his attitude-all i know is when his team needed him to perform drew harris proved he was the MVP of not only his team but of the league. when santa fe needed maurice cole to step up in big games he dissappeared completely like agiands calhi and santa fe-all you have to do is check the stats game by game and you would realize that the best player i the league didnt get recognized and that is a shame.

Observer said:

he may have improved, from what? disgraceful? and i hear the cal hi administration had to have a talk with drew and tell him to watch his attitude and body language. apparently only not playing was going to change his embarrassing attitude?

but, shouldn't the best player should have a good attitude to go with good talent? can you honestly tell me that this is true in this case??

del rio basketball fan said:

observor-yes i do believe drew harris has improved in his attitude-i watched a number of calhis games and he displays what an MVP should be-another example -against santa fe in the second round he had 28 pts and 20 reb. while maurice cole disappeared completely-calhi wopuld have never made the playoffs with him while maurice cole is just another player on a good team-like i said before its too bad coaches in the league cant set aside personal feelings and honor the best player-by far-in the league.

Observer said:

An MVP also must have a good attitude and sportsmanship. does anyone really think drew has either of those qualities???

del rio basketball fan said:

steve-no im not mrs. harris-but i am someone who watches a lot of del rio basketball and calhi games and i know that if you watched the league and knew the tru definition of a most valuable [player then drew harris is that player. i know that he has a reputation but he was truly the MVP and if the coaches didnt have their own ageda they wi=ould have seen it. its too bad he didnt get the recognition he deserves-and again im not related or really know him in any way -im just a knowledgable observor without an agenda.

mrs. harris is that you?

del rio basketball fan said:

the del rio all league team was announced and maurice cole was named MVP- nothing against him but the true MVP is Drew Harris of calhi because without him the team would have finished below .500- its unfortunate that certain coaches in the league let their personal feelings get in the way of better judgement- the true meaning of an MVP is the player who is most valuable to his team and Drew Harris fits that perfectly. Anyone who knows the league should put personal feelings aside and honor the right player.

AWESOME. The gutsy Swordsmen full of heart and desire overcame a height laden team in Joel John. To see the boys screaming and running around hysterically after the final buzzer was a picture from a March Madness scene. Coach Miller is truly the area COACH OF THE YEAR, taking two teams to the playoffs and on the verge of both in the Final Four. Hats off to the boys and Coaching staff headed by Miller. Good luck Lady Swordsmen tonight. Can't wait until Friday.

Saint Paul advances again, they beat Joel John by 1 point in an exciting game, sp is not doing to bad in sports this year eh?

Saw Joel John play at Cantwell tournament. They've got 2 really good players that will give the Swordsmen fits. Hope St. Paul does not overlook them as Joel John is the #4 seed and from what I've seen they deserve the seeding.

Joel John was not tested in league and I'm thinking they may not have the legs to keep up with the Swordsmen.

re: Joel John School

Although, I don't know anything about the school I noticed they do have a common opponent they share with St. Paul. They played Pioneer HS and lost while St. Paul defeated Pioneer earlier this season. Hopefully, this bodes well for the Swordsmen.
