It's all in a name, er ... title

As of Wednesday morning, former California High School football coach Dusan Ancich hadn't signed a contract yet, and his hiring as a football coach at Villa Park High School still has to be approved by the school board, but observers close to the situation consider it just a formality.
In any case, when the process is completed, he will be the Spartans' co-head coach, along with current head coach Pat Mahoney, and not an assistant under Mahoney, as implied in initial releases concerning the hiring.
Ancich will take the reins solo when Mahoney retires after this season.

What happened with Ancich? I thought he was well liked at Cal High.

Hopefully he will get all the paperwork straight at Villa Park and not screw up their season too. I agree with an earlier statement let him get out of our neighborhood.
