Breaking News from the CIF-Southern Section Division III Wrestling Dual Meet Championships from Whittier High School.

Santa Fe High School's bid to win its second straight CIF-SS Division III Team Title and third in four years was halted by top-seeded West Covina South Hills High School, who defeated the Chiefs in a stunning fashion, 51-14.

Santa Fe's victories were posted by Dimitri Crouch (112 pounds, a 12-0 decision), Marcus Orona (119 pounds, a 3-2 decision), Daniel Couts (152 pounds, an 18-10 decision) and Nikolai Crouch (171 pounds, a 5-2 decision).

There will be more in tomorrow's paper.

3 out of 4 years....impreassed...santa fe will more in likely send 3 or more to the state finals in Bakersfield this month...I cant say that for any local high school...
