St. Paul, from what I saw, has a physical defense that wears down opponents, and at least three guys that can drain the 3-pointer with regularity. Note to future opponents' fans. Don't try to taunt Saenz by yelling "air-ball."

Its called teamwork and determination! There are several stars on this team, but no ball hogs or primadonnas! Its too bad they get zero press. Freshmen year these guys proclaimed they would bring a championship flag for the gymnasium wall, and they will all be back next year! Remember the names Willie Duff and Steven Seanz, team captains, 3 year varsity members and both superstars! Either of these gys could play at a higher level, but they chose to put St. Paul Basketball on the map!

If we need basketball transfers we sure aren't going to get them from Santa Fe!

Steven Mendoza said:

I dont know what your thinking but none of them transferred from santa fe. All with the exception of Webb have been there since freshman year.

And to Big Chief:
Just because you havent heard of any the schools they have beaten doesnt show proof they cant move up. They defeated a well-talented joel john school (ranked 4th)who beat servite and finished with a 22-6 record overall. As for flintridge prep (ranked 5th) also finished their season 20-5.

Im tired of everyone including all the writers not giving St. Paul the credit they deserve. It took a cif championship to finally show people we were for real in football. Now we just have to do the same for basketball as well.

Prove Them Wrong!

they play no one thats why they are so good

Big Chief said:

The question should be, who are these teams they are playing. Other than Whittier Christian, i have never heard of any of these schools. More proof SP should never move up. They would dominate in the lower divisions.

did they all transfer in from santa fe too?????
