While all the boys were deserving it was sad to see no one from El Rancho, the Del Rio League champion, made it. In Division I, no one from the entire Almont League (Montebello and Schurr) made a 1st, 2nd or 3rd team. No one from St. Paul in Division VI or any other local school. That's a shame because there were several others that should have been included.

To soccer dad,
I am the coach from St. Paul and actually, i have to tell you, i don't think i have anything to answer for. I did put Derek's name as well as 2 other of my players on the list. I did what i had to do. That they are not on the list is not because of me not putting his or any of my other's players on the list. I think that at the very least Derek Gallo should have made !st team, and the other 2 players i nominated were Adrian Montecinos and Adrian Reyes.
The only way a league MVP is left off the All-CIF team would be because the coach never put him up. It sounds like the St. Paul and El Rancho coaches have some explaining to do. Also, notice how a coaches son made 1st team Div III? I thought that only happened in Little League!
for Div VI i definitely think there are quite a few area players missing. Dean Rowley from Bosco Tech with 30 goals overall, 19 in League and Derek Gallo from St Paul with 11 goals and 8 assists and also making All League First Team as well as League MVP. How could you miss those names in Div 6 for at least one of the 3 teams. I think they need to take a look at how players are picked.
