605Football Classic final rosters updated .... again

Yea that's me. I have no idea why I wasn't picked. I'm mad about it, but you have to move on; I have college football to prove myself.

whatever, we still need Gonzales back.he's there for the kids not his personal gain/recognition.

Is it neccessary to conduct a team with such control? Yeah it is. What Nieto runs is a baseball program that gets the boys ready for college ball. The way he runs things is not that much different from how some colleges run their programs.

The players do have fun, thats what its all about. But what BS are you talking about? The only BS i see going on at CAL, which happens at every other HS, is the parents get involved. They whine and moan that their kids were all stars in little league, so they should be playing. Or maybe the BS that some players feel they are above the program and can do what they want at practice.

The bottom line is that not everyone will be happy in a baseball program. Some kids know their roles on the team, and some just cant accept those roles and quit, instead of working harder and trying to become a better player. But they choose the easy way out, and if they cant work hard in a high school baseball program, Its going to be unfortune when they deal with adversity when they get older.

my question was directed to del rio league alumni. sure nieto has had a decent stay at cal .but is it necessary to conduct a high school baseball team with such control. these are young adults who will remember these days for the rest of their lives.make it fun without all the b/s .the stars will shine and some years will be better than others.its time to go to a private school where your crazy ways maybe more appreciated. also roger where did one of my blogs disappear to the blob black hole or did i touch a nerve.oh well enough of this subject.

Whittier Cardinals, you have no idea what your talking about. I played baseball at La Serna, and have seen first hand how the Cal Hi program is run, and it's a real program at Cal Hi. Nieto has coached at the College level and knows how prepare these kids for college. Congrats to LeVier on getting drafted, but the whole situation with LeVier is something know one really knows except those involved or those close to the people who are in involved. I'll just say its a case of a big ego thinking he can do what he wants cause a he's a good player and Nieto put a stop to it and fast.

So unless you know what your talking about and have the maturity to post like an adult, then stay quiet and dont post these bullcrap rumors on message boards.

P.S I like your stab at the LS program with the whole coach Burke thing. Kudos.

C'mon Roger yo know nieto is not liked very well at cal except for few good athletes which he kisses their a** and the rest must kiss his butt or your not on the team.should a coach pretty much demand that a kid not play any other sport even though it would not disturb any participation the following sport . Control I said control FREAK.other local schools dont choose to run their programs that way they get the best in any given sport and go for it.not the kids dad who runs the snack shack or lends him his car in vegas so his kid gets to be on the team.also theres several kids that were good that quit after freshman year ,some after sophmore year and even some jrs chose not to go out.and i dont think hes your best friend they hardly get any coverage compared to almighty la serna lancers.who's there coach again burke?

Yo, Whittier Cardinals (not sure what the connection is here): Don't know the entire story of the problem (if there was one) between Mitch and Coach Nieto, but are you implying that by "... jerk control freak ..." Nieto has team rules and a structured program? Again, don't know the whole story there, but hard to believe it was as one-sided as you imply.
As for this newspaper, Mitch was always cordial, cooperative and pleasant when we dealt with him, and we wish him well and congratulations for being named Co-Player of the Year in the Orange Empire Conference, and State Co-Player of the Year.

Sorry Roger, my notes were sketchy that is true. Casey was pulled by Pete Carroll of USC. He is a projected starter for that defensive front. Pat Hill of Fresno State also pulled OL Doug Spacht from Poly. Spacht is also a projected starter for Hill's Bulldogs. Coach Lara says he's gonna miss both of his athletes as they are both dominate. They were replaced by the Gahr guys who have been waiting for an opening since their nominations were turned in late. Thanks Roger.
