Try a couple of these nonleague schedules on for size ...
You've had a look at the preleague football schedules for the Del Rio League members.
Here's the preleague schedules for the area's non-Del Rio League schools.
Which of non-DRL teams has the toughest pre-league test, and which has the easiest?
Reasoning is welcome and, as always, brevity, ... well, you know the drill.

Yo, Tech Savy: D. Flores reportedly is taking a class in summer school to qualify for his scholarship to Minnesota State University Moorhead. Have heard no confirmed information concerning the university revoking the scholarship. However, he is not listed on any of the school's preseason literature (roster, outlook, prospectus).
Yo, Chief Pig: Canyon Country Canyon won last year's Lineman Competition in Santa Fe's Tournament of Champions. Also, last summer, Carson won the passing title, Santa Fe rallied to win the consolatiion title and Banning defeated Carson in the event-closing tug-o-war.
is there any truth to this matter concerning D. Flores? I saw this kid play at santa fe ...Knew he transfered..What happened?

We aren't evaluating the Trinity League. If we include Loyola and Notre Dame, then of course it's a tougher schedule. What I think we're looking at is who scheduled the toughest preseason - the games the coaches selected to prepare for league and playoffs. St. Paul doesn't choose to play those last two games, so that's why I left them out. Los Al is better than Servite, San Clemente is better than SJB, South Hills and Westminster are both better than either Garfield or Cantwell. Downey and Pioneer don't match up to anyone. I don't think many realists can argue those comparisons if you look at the programs, athletes, coaching, and tradition involved. Don't forget - La Habra is facing those two D-I programs deeper in the season. The playing field is far closer to level early on. Hopefully the two best coaches/programs in the area can repeat! How is the coach of the CIF championship team not selected as coach of the year two years in a row? Still trying to figure out how Mazzotta didn't get it after demolishing last year's selection head-to-head in the playoffs. His program is unmatched in the area in every aspect. I'm pretty sure the award is COACH of the year.
Dear Mr. Faithful:
Yes D. Flores left the North Pole..He believed all the BS from the coaching staff- they used him - for what a title and guess what he is left with: his college scholarship revoked and not even a high school diploma.
I love football...but lets be real....as parents and coaches we have a responsibility to these kids.
All you St. Paul haters,
Grow up already! It's mostly you Santa Fe or Santa Claus alumni. Just ask yourself one question about your school? Why won't they play St.Paul? St. Paul plays all the big schools and it pays off in the long run. Santa Claus High plays a mickey mouse schedule and look at the end result. Zero championships! Perfect example in that David Flores kid. Left the north pole and got a div 1 ride and a championship to boot. You little elfs do the math. Stop hating on the defending champs!
SP will lose to every D1 team they play this year.
Sevite: Tons of size and speed on both sides of ball. Way overmatched.
SJB: Lots of athletes here as well. The QB is real good. He can run and throw.
ND: They just reload every year.
Loyola: Down past couple of years. They still roll SP though.
st paul will is over rated .
there whole team is gone from last year.
they will be 0-6 in the preseason.
Hey They Said:
Regardless if SP chooses or is "married" to Loyola and ND, they still have to play them. Your comments about SJB and Servite also show you don't know much about the Trinity League. SJB is vastly improved and Servite is still considered one of the top teams in D1. They might be missing Kalili and Shoemate but they still have a lot weapons available.
La Habra does play a tough schedule but it no way compares to St. Paul's.
Yo, They : Correct. La Habra and the Freeway League have moved up to the Southwest Division (VI).
Remember that St. Paul doesn't choose Loyola and Notre Dame - they are part of the two "married" Catholic leagues. They rotate teams between the two leagues to fill the schedule. Without them, the preseason doesn't have the same flavor - Bosco has had one good year in about the last 15 and Servite no longer has Shoemate. The toughest schedule has to be La Habra's. Outside of Downey (who's still better than Cantwell and Pioneer), you have two premier DI teams and two more solid programs. Roger, are all those Division numbers you gave up to date since the last re-groupings? I think the Freeway league moved up from DVII.
Yo, Swordy, That's pretty much what St. Paul did last season, and it paid off handsomely.
I understand wanting to play the "big boys", but, I don't think we (SP) have the horses year in year out to play with these guys. I just want to stay healthy for league and for our playoff run.
As always St. Paul schedules tough division I teams. You have to give props to Coach Gonzales for trying to take that program to another level. Division III champions is not enough for that coaching staff. Good luck to you. Rooting for you to end that losing streak!

St. Paul once again has put together a tough schedule. Probably the toughest one in the local area. Four D1 teams? Could a be long preseason for the Swordsmen.
