Carson will return to defend TofC title

More information on the Ninth Annual tournament of Champions passing and
linemen competitions scheduled July 12 at Santa Fe High School:

The action in both the passing pool games and linemen challenges
begins at 9 a.m. In addition to the host Chiefs, locals entered to date
in the 35-team field are Whittier, a semifinalist last year, and
California. La Serna and Whittier Christian are on a short waiting list.
Teams are guaranteed at least four pool games and then could end up
playing as many as nine games.

In addition to defending champion Carson, other early entries include
CIF-SS Northeast Division champion St. Margaret's, Central Division
champion Colony, Mid-Valley semifinalist Paraclete, Lakewood, Lynwood,
Glendora, Arcadia, Monrovia, Cypress and Bellflower.
La Serna, Whittier Christian and Serra are still on the waiting list.
