SFe's TofC passing and linemen competition has 35 entries

| | Comments (9) |

The field for Santa Fe High School's annual Tournament of Champions
passing and linemen competitions, scheduled July 12, has 35 entries, but
Chiefs assistant coach Bob Costa says there is a possibility that
number might be increased by game time.
"We have some teams on a waiting list, and we could go as high as 40,"
Costa said. "It's a matter of field availibility." Right now, we're
still two fields short of being able to handle the additional
teams."

More information concerning entries and starting times will be released shortly, but Costa confirmed that Carson will return to defend its championship won last year.

Big Chief:

Got it.

The T of C is turning out to be one of the premier passing tournaments in So. Cal so it makes sense for them to have as many top teams as possible.

I believe the hidden agent in which Mr. Murray was referring to was in the assumption by some that Santa Fe intentionally didn’t not invite St Paul to participate in the TOC.

St. Paul made a conscious effort not to participate in any passing tournaments this summer. They are only choosing to participate in passing league competitions during the week.

They made this annoucement to all the parents back in the spring.

As far as I see it there are no hidden agendas as the coaching staff has been up front from the beginning.

Yo, 'St. Paul' and Chief Pig: Santa Fe's TofC is not an invitational. The competition is open to any high school team. It is a matter of making a phone call and paying the entry fee before a specified date. There are no hidden agenda's concerning St. Paul's absence this year. The Swordsmen coaches made the decision not to participate.

Yo, Anonymous: St. Paul's "dead period" had nothing to do with not participating in Santa Fe's TofC competition. St. Paul's noncontact time ended a week ago.

True or not true Mr Murray that St Paul could not compete in the TOC because they are in their dead period?????

St. Paul said:

St. Paul was not invited. That is all that matters about the TofC. Nothing else needs mention.

Chief Pig said:

Is Saint Paul in it this year? I heard they werent getting invited to it? I hope they come so we can hand them a loss...
