It took a while to get going, but Santa Fe managed to defeat visiting
Littlerock, 36-0, in a preseason football game Thursday night.
Senior running back Aaron Turner carried 26 times for 232yards,
including touchdown runs of 22, 50, 3 nd 11 yards. Turner has 579 yards and nine touchdowns in two games.
Junior quarterback Alex Flores was intercepted twice in the first half
but rallied in the second half to complete all five of his passes for 89 yards, including
a pair of 22-yarders to tight end Nikolai Crouch that set up Turner's
last touchdown.
Backup quarterback Ryan Garcia got the Chiefs' final touchdown on a
35-yard keeper in the final minutes.
Santa Fe sacked Littlerock quarterback Sean Duffy four times, two of
them by Crouch, and blocked a pair of punts, the first one setting up
Turner's 22-yard touchdown run.
Santa fe improves to 2-0; Littlerock slips to 2-1.

Keep being an Ostrich with your head in the sand and your tail feathers in the air. Look at all the blogs, SP has been producing ghetto trash even be for you graduated. Anyone can say morality, integrity, class, humility! If you don’t show it on the field, or with someone not in your religion how could you be Godly?

Del Rio League Fan,

If your a real DRL fan you would know that most teams in the area are run first...and did you even see the game? the 2 int were not the qb fault, the sf receivers need a lil work but they will come around. Dont get me wrong SF will run first, I think any coach would run Turner 20-30 times a game, you would be stupid not to, but the minute that defense makes a mistake the QB will make them pay. So having Turner is not a weakness its only gonna open up the passing game more in the future.

Regardless of what the game plan is tonight. San Clemente is a great team and should beat SF but I wouldnt count this team out, tonight

I can't believe that anyone can say that Littlerock was any good. It doesn't matter that they were 2-0, they were terrible. Your weakness was exposed as a run only offense. San Clemente is different. They will make you throw and then you will find out if you are any good or not. That test will happen on Friday.

Good job to the Santa Fe chiefs they are looking real good on both sides of the ball. It's kind of sad when a team does very good, someone always has to throw a dumb### comment in this blog. We'll I guess that's just the way it goes. To my boys #3,#5,#30, #37,#59,#70 and #75 we worked hard all year long in the weight room and that's why your having a great year. Don't let these HATERS bring you down, proud of you guys. Like I said in the begining you guys will have a great year. Show all these JEALOUS HATERS WHATS UP!

Big Chief
You have to be joking, Saint Paul has asked every school in the area to play the ones that said yes we have played and props to them, if we aren't afraid to play Servite then we sure as hell aren't afraid to play La Habra, they do not want to play us, there is nothing that Saint Paul would love more then to play La Habra oh besides winning league and the Division again

The Test said:

Cal,

I agree!

Is the team healthy? There are a lot of guys going both ways and when one guy goes down, it is really two starters!

I may drive down but not looking forward to traffic on a Friday!

GREAT POST !!

Finally a voice of reason and intelligence from a SP student/alum.

I guess I was wrong. They must have English classes at SP.

SWORDSMEN and SP ALUM do not represent what a true SPHS student, student/athlete, or graduate personify: Religious Priority, Integrity, Class, Humility, Respect, Tact, and Morality. And I believe most schools give the kids the road map to achieve most of these traits, not just SP. Let not a few bad apples spoil the whole pot. I know a 'demented few' see these blogs as forums for dirty ghetto trash talk and insults which show their ignorance and lack of decency. But to filter them out obviously would be censorship and God knows we have enough of that (see: US Gov't). So we move on...
SP takes its lumps with the past two Servite games and respect goes to Servite for a great program. Is not the Trinity League one of the toughest in the nation? SP will only get better by playing top caliber teams. So let the boys on Friday nights that work their tails to the bone get the credit they deserve. Last year's championship shows what SP can do. Now let's see what they can do this year with the nasty schedule ahead of them.

SP Alum,

My aren’t you witty!! I bet you keep reading over your post cracking yourself up. You’re probably the funniest guy you know, huh? But incase you haven’t noticed we live in a new world these days so shouldn’t it be something more along the lines of a few raisins short of a low cal salad????

As far as the bad history goes it’s still alive today. Just look at last years TOC Passing tournament. The St Paul coaches whined and cried all day long making spectacles of themselves. Thankfully they chose stay home or go elsewhere this year.

What no response about wanting to play La Habra SP faithful? Nice job of picking and choosing what you respond to bonehead.

The Test

You're right, Turner is a stud along with a good looking O-Line. This week will be a huge test for SF. They are the best looking team in the DRL. I wish them luck & hope they represent against San Clemente.

San Clemente is gonna give SF a fight to the end. Gonna be a huge test to see how good SF really is!

The Test said:

Littlerock was a pretty weak team and so was Warren.

How will the chiefs match up when they play San Clemente? That will be a true test. I like what I see so far but we got a challenge come Friday. Turner is a STUD

Any thoughts?

As much as I hate to admit some of these SP bloggers do make us look bad.

Trust me, not all of us are like that.

Hey a 36-0 win is a pretty good win and Little Rock is not a bad team. They came into this matchup 2-0. They had talent but eventually wore down. Plus Santa fe made quite a few early mistakes. Eventually they settled down and pulled away. This week will be a true test for SF. San Clemente is a very good team and will not wear out like Little Rock. We will see how SF answers you SWORDSMEN. We already know how you look when you play a good team. Servite 41 St Paul 16.

Wait a minute. SP started their season off last year struggling by getting whacked by Servite. When it came down to it SF got the job done in then end again over another higher division team. Stop begging to play SF because there is way to much bad history with these two programs. Be content with having played ER & the upcoming game with Pioneer while SF goes on to test itself up and over SP against Pac5's San Clemente next week. You wanna play the best team in the area, why aren't you pounding on La Habra's door or calling them out? Or are you afraid you wont be able to recruit that far east since those kids would rather go to Servite????????

6557 said:

Mr. Swordsmen,

Some teams have slow starts no matter who they are playing. Maybe the players weren't mentally ready or something. Why don't you just relax and let Santa Fe play. You SP bloggers give Saint Paul a bad name.

SWORDSMEN said:

What the Fox;
Who also saw SF against Littlerock? SF really struggle with a team smaller in size than a junior High. Maybe 32 players, no cheerleaders ,no fans, no band playing, no sideline equipment, no support. Turner eventually got his yards. I say after being stop in his tracks for loses or at the line. SF looks weak, play a good team, MAYBE US?
