Cal High FB update: Condors get a break, a good one

| | Comments (6) |

California High's football program received good news early this morning
when the report on running back Matt Urquiza's ankle was "not broken."
It was determined to be a "high ankle sprain," and although he is
definitely out of the Pioneer game tonight, he'll be "monitored closely
throughout next week" in practice and could be available for Friday's
game against Santa Fe. Urquiza suffered the injury during the third
quarter of last week's victory over El Rancho.

Not that it really matters or means much but.... Song Dad, have you read the sports page of the daily news lately? In the most recent area top 5 rankings Mr. Murray and his gang of sports analysts have La Serna ranked #2, just below La Habra and above Santa Fe and Cal.....regardless of what CIF has. But like I said, it doesn't matter, when the Friday night lights come on later this week, Then we will see. Yes, I am a Condor fan and dad, but best wishes for a hard fought, and competive game between Cal and Santa Fe this friday. Bring your best game boys, and I hope everyone stays injury free.

cheer dad

Who care about cal, santa fe everybody kepts saying cal and santa fe are the teams to beat but how about LA SERNA the boys play every game with heart and skills but you (murray) always say that the best teams in the league are 1)santa fe, 2)cal, and maybe 3)LA SERNA but LA SERNA 7 IN 0 SO FAR. It's ok we will see who the best in the league in the next three weeks.don't get me wrong cal and santa fe are great teams. but people give LA SERNA some credit we are 7 in 0.i think it's going to be la serna and cal for the league title and i hope it's LA SERNA. LET'S GO LA SERNA. O AND DON'T FORGET OUR CHEERLEADER. LA SERNA HAS THE BEST CHEER AND SONG TEAM IN THE LEAGUE. THANK YOU SONG DAD.

P.S GREAT GAME TONITE LA SERNA KEPT IT UP.

elrancho, your homecoming was one of the largest in the area. I thought it was the 4th of July with a huge firework show. Now come on the horse & carriage from the movie Zorro? I can’t forget the big fire truck with a grip of cheerleader’s and those fancy cars. But!!!! That big o’crowd was silent and from where I was standing I thought I was at a funeral that some famous person had recently given up the ghost. You get well soon. “See you next year “
