I know at some point you’re trying to articulate some meaning. Mile-away, please help the rest of us too understand? it will be immensely valued. I do have a little hint.

it's pretty sad that Santa Fe has to resort to saying they beat playoff teams... instead of saying they beat teams in the playoffs...

carry on...

St. Paul Fan,

You got blown out in almost every game trying to step to pac5 and D1, please!!

You did have a hard schedule but you didnt even show up to the games. I never said SF schedule was harder but we beat 2 playoff teams in your own division plus whne we played a D1 opponent at least it was a game and sis not get embarrassed like your SP boys did.

St.Paul fan said:

HMMMM?

Are you not watching these teams play? Give me a break about SF. If they played SP schedule they would be lucky to win a game. Just look at SOS for both teams. It's not even close. Like I said before, play the cupcake schedule early and see what happens late. And it did on Friday. It's sad! By the way , if you want to go watch week 12 with me be at SP by 5:00 pm on friday so we can car pool. Among other things. Hater...

Warren and Downey...

quality teams...

lol...

What are you talking about, what analysis of Burbank, all I said was that they must have improved big time.....

hmmm said:

el rancho,

The WDN does not make SF seem like some super power. For example even after SF beat LS, SF was still ranked behind them in the WDN rankings.

And you called this "a rebuilding year" for ER. I remember you blogging that this was your year with all your returners from last year. Dont go back on your statements just bc you had ANOTHER BAD YEAR!

and you say SF was not that much better. They had the talent, it seems like this year SF played fown to the level of weaker opponents like ER, Whittier, and Burbank. But when they played good, quality teams like Warren and Downey ( 2 Div3 playoff teams, SP where you at!!), LS and CAL they played alot better games.

and here you go again ranting and raving about how you will get it done next year. It seems like you write the same stuff every year. My favorite blog of your this year just showed up. Your analysis of Burbank came from a scrimmage LOL! WOW!!

and to SP FAITHFUL,
Playoffs!!, WTF you finished in LAST PLACE IN YOUR LEAGUE and you think you have the right to still blog??? you win a championship, with other teams players and you follow that up with a sub .500 campaign. SF and LS beat PLAYOFF teams in your division, so think before you blog or just dont blog at all.

and delrio football fan,

What SF has done in the DRL is a dynasty in the DRL. Granted I agree they need to bring a ring home. But, please enlighten me and name another team in the DRL that has accomplished more than SF???

and SPF@N,

Mission League Standings
1. Alemany
2. St. Francis
3. Chaminade
4. SP

ENOUGH SAID!!

You bloggers really need to read before you blog, really think about what you are saying and re-read your blogs and see if they make sense.

sp faithful! we lost, but you paid to lose!!!!! it dont mean a thing without the ring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

elrancho said:

Yes I say should have, not to try and bring up my own program or Cal or Pioneer, I write should have because the games were that close and SF was not that much better than most Del Rio league teams the way the WDN tries to make it seem. Burbank was the same team ER scrimmaged last season, we absolutely smashed em, they must have improved big time....

don't you ever learn, SHOULD HAVE again!

To all SF faithful,

WTF? Burbank, are you serious? Somebody please tell me that's a typo. Humble Pie . Don't ever compare your sorry program to that of SP! At least you guys went 9-2 and all that good stuff. But just remember , "It don't mean a thing without the ring" Burbank?

La Serna had a bad game against SF. Played a good game against San Gab. still have not reached their potential. They are peaking at right time. Look for them in semifinal. With the athletes they have anything can happen. Go lancers! Coach Beltran has done a great job with these boys!

delrio football fan said:

ok to all you SF fans-typical!-you guys always choke in the playoffs-you think you have a dynasty??-lemme ask you- how many CIF champinships have you won??-- ZERO!!-chokes again in the playoffs- you guys are always sore losers and in the playoffs your just plain LOSERS!

how come i come on here every year and see the same thing......SANTA FE GETS UPSETED.....then i see a bunch of blogers saying wait till next year our jv frosh were undefeated......same old story same old result ----UPSET----keep winning DRL titles and lose in the playoffs......lets see what laserna does in the playoffs go LANCERS

elrancho said:

SF barely beat a bad ER team during a rebuilding year. SF's JV tied the ER JV, SF's Freshmen team played a dogfight against ER's Freshmen... Aldecoa didn't even play much this season, he was a non factor. The only SR we will miss is Marcus Galan. We return almost everyone next season, Galan didn't even play DB the whole season part of the time he was used only on offense. We had a horrible senior class and thats what caused for a bad season, the train started off in a direction, but eventually it came off the tracks.. Expect to go down to ER in 2009... Perea, Ayala, Baldwin, Castro, Franco, Sanchez, Turner... your time is coming boys...

Jack continues to choke ith the BEST talent in the area. Year in and year out.

el rancho,

There you go again with your "should haves". SF beat those teams in league straight up. SF when in to the Burbank game with many injuries. Turner (rb), Nick Finney (dl), Ortiz (lb) didnt even play and they lost possibly their best player on both sides of the ball in Crouch during the game. Other players didnt step up and Burbank came ready to play, plain and simple. SF laid a huge egg. What did El Rancho do all year??? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, AGAIN!!! and the starting Oline has 2 juniors and a junior rotating silly guy and dont forget that SF swept Frosh, JV, and Varsity DRL titles so they will be back. Basically your whole offense and defense is gone with Galan and Aldecoa graduating, and im not sure if Ayala is senior, a stud WR, but if he is that doesnt make matters better for another celler finish for ER. And btw when you dominate a league like the way has SF has dominated the DRL that is called a dynasty. ER can only hope to be mentioned in the same class as SF over the last 10 years. and dont reply with stuff from the 80's again because this blog does not care.

and SP Alum,

When you say "your boys" won the title in 2007 does that include the boys who CARRIED THE TEAM in Haynes and Flores, who only played one year at SP. Without them your team that year would have not came close to sniffen a CIF title.

Good luck to LS, bring one home.

Ever since I can remember, when my eldest daughter played basketball at SP and we played Amat, their parents and fans have been the most obnoxious and rude crowd I have ever encountered. When my son played football and the games were at Amat, the fans would yell obscenities and throw things at the players. It's unfortunate but not surprising that things haven't changed over there.

bigjer said:

Don't know who told you it was an all senior line. We started 2 juniors on the o line. Also its funny to hear a st paul fan laugh at us for losing in the first round. At least we had a first round. And don't give me this bs about being in D3. We beat 2 D3 playoff teams this year. SF played well this year at times and other times struggled. I respect this years players but we never were able to reach our potential. I don't know why it just never happened. Good luck to the rest of the area teams still in it.

Burbank 20 Santa Fe 14 Final "enough said"

elrancho said:

Santa Fe has shown many weaknesses since the Whittier game, they should have lost to ER and Cal, Pioneer played em tough and La Serna layed an egg. Some of you homers especially the writers for this paper always want to make Santa Fe seem like this huge dynasty.... The only thing I can tell you is that during 2008 it does not matter what SF did the passed 7 years, the only thing that mattered was today and today SF was not all they were cracked up to be. So much for returning an all SR line, its gone now, and so is Turner....

POLY 21 BISHOP AMAT 17, Lancers we played or you played a great game and gave poly all they could handle. Plus nice to see Coach Pete Carroll & Ken Norton on ploy’s sideline. It was great to be in the playoffs, I would like to know why on Amat side of the stands Lancer fans and parents threw things and yell at some poly fans and started a fight in the north tunnel of the stadium the police have to come in and stop it, stand guard the rest of the game. We need to ask more of our fans.

I hate to bash but it serves 'em right: Big Bad Santa Fe One And Done! In the stutter of Porky Pig: "b-dee b-dee b-dee That's All Folks!" Maybe next year you can hope for a ring like our boys! ROFL!
