to John V.
You want to play baseball, but you "need" to work on your literacy. You should stay off these blogs or embarras St. Paul's education system.
An eight year old can write better than you. Do not embarras your school.
And your knowledge of the "area history" is almost as bad as your literacy.
Are you kidling cantwellnogood !! will never look good against us, so get a life. St.Paul has one of the most talent teams in area history. If we get by amat……..OUCH !!!
Even Cantwell looked good against St. Paul...OUCH!
Concerned SP parent:
What the F' are talking about?
Listen when the kids lose, it there fault but when the team win, it the coaches. So the school never has a hand in it, as who they hire. St. Paul is perfect and it’s the kids fault. What are the kids learning?
Maybe that’s why the “me” problem is there. I say lets focus on the kids or find some other kids that will make the school look better. Because that is what it seems the coaches want, we have kids that are important to there parents. I hope we can bring SP into the 21 century.
Im disappointed with you-sport fan original.
We have pated a lot of money, should we not be involved with the program?
The coach has our kids and because its 2000s we or I should not want and know “he” will play at the next level and beyond.
The heads are “gargantuan” but I would like to know why?
Unless we can find out the problem and what caused it we will have to rely on luck.
Sports fan I agree with you regarding the pitching, but its not just the two pitchers you are talking about. The problem at St Paul Baseball is not the pitching. Their pitching staff is probably one of the best in the area, if not the best. It's the offense. For whatever reason the majority of the team thinks they can hit the long ball at anytime, and all you are getting is pop-ups to the infield. As for the defense, in my observations I see players playing out of their positions. I for one believe that if the coaching staff gets the correct adjustments on the field, and they deflate the heads of the majority of the starting team (including some of the pitchers that think they are home run hitters when they are not pitching), and instill a some what of a small ball approach to playing the game, they maybe able to turn it around. If not don't be surprise if they get knocked off in the first round of the playoffs. The coaching staff needs to keep these kids humble, and cut out all the "me" stuff that is going on with this team.
Let's realize that most of the "hype" was coming from these St. Pauler's, probably some of the team members or their parents.
I know it is the 2000's now where parents carry so much weight. But if Coach Morales has to worry about offending a player or parent, then the coaching conditions are not favorable. And if the coaching conditions are not favorable, and the team is moving up a CIF division (which they should), the results may not be pleasant.
If the team is made up of a bunch of "me" players, then there is a very slim chance of doing real well in Division 4 (still not the best of divisions). If that is the case, then those two very good pitchers may have to "carry them" and hope they get a clutch hit here and there and hope the defense does not make the "vital" mistake.
So much for the hype regarding the St Paul Baseball team (if you want to call them a team), in their last 8 games they have won 3 and lost 5 (that includes the last three games they lost in their own tournament). Coach Morales needs to start putting his foot down, and not worry if he is going to offend a player, or a parent. He need to beach some of his starting players, until they understand that they are playing for their school and not for themselves. Baseball is a team sport, not a me sport. The whole team is nothing but a bunch of prima donnas that are trying to hit the big home run to win the game, instead of playing fundamental baseball. For all the hype this team received (rated #1 in the WDN) I do not see it. Don't be surprised if they get knocked out of the playoffs in the 1st round if the coaching staff does not get it together and instill discipline into those kids( they need to deflate their heads), and no more home run derby during batting practice, only fundamental baseball!!!
hey i guess no one cares,
