What's the news with gade encinas, he's having a lot of problems. you (encinas) who isn't that smart and pick a school who is not that well known in baseball. Wow, But you have to be able to read. What a fine job st paul has done with your education.

wow La Habra beat San Clemente by one point!

for daivd flores the sky is not the limit, he will not make it out of JC. cant have done it in high school, why now?

Think "wonder" why?

Some times I wonder if these so called St. Paul posters are really from St. Paul or just some of you haters trying to stir sh*t up? Guess we will never know.

Why have we "Alum" in a clear (10 years or more) statement not send our kids to my or our ST.Paul. Try to put it all together. THINK!!!

representing his community???are you nuts? He is doing this for himself. He could care less about any of us and that is the way it should be. Do it for yourself youngster. These guys in here are all living in their past. Don't be one of them. You can go as far as you want. These guys in here couldn't. They had no talent, they had their girls setting rules, and they made the wrong choices. The sky is the limit for you and you only. Don't worry about what anyone says whether its positive or negative. Let these guys get a life and not live through yours.

to Interested Party: Is that the David Flores out of St Paul, now playing for Cerritos?

If so, whoever has negative words toward him knows nothing and is probably a "wanna be"! Cerritos is 4 and 0 and opens league this week.

If so, he won a CIF Championship and is a starter on a very strong team which is rated 10th in California. Community College football is very strong.

Hopefully David will get a full ride out of Cerritos!!

SP "73" said:

is it why he came to us, no brains, but can play!! thats what our school has become.

elrancho said:

El Rancho's Freshmen are 3-1, they have handily beaten Cerritos, BG, and Montebello, their loss was to West Covina.

St. Paul's schedule gets ridiculously tough this week.

Bosco.
Crespi.
Amat.

And then there's league.
Chaminade.
St. Francis.
Alemany.

I think St. Paul will go 1-5 the rest of the season, and that's being generous.

Does anyone know how the freshman teams in the DRL are doing? Just curious?

Obviously you would want to remain "anonymous" making nasty remarks about a young man as you did with David Flores!?!
What's wrong with you? How dare you insult this young man who is in his 2nd year of community college, trying to get an education and represent his community by playing football?
Regardless of what you think-he is not someone for you to attack just because he is playing a sport and gets his name in the local newspaper. No, I am not related to him but too many players are villified by bloggers such as yourself with absolutely no regard for common decency.
Try to maintain some level of decorum, speak about the teams, and support the players of your favorites but do not attack individual players!! It is just not necessary--and I hope you have some remorse for your comment!
And by the way, David did not come on here deriding SF. As a matter of fact, David is obviously very supportive of the team because of his brother!
Keep up the hard work, Flores Bros!!

St. Paul?????? isn't that the patron Saint of recruitment???
your new/old head coach, is the lead apostle??

oh FYI alot kids who play at SF (fr,jv,v) are 2nd and 3rd generations of parents who played their!!! as well as their coaching staff, everybody has pride for their school where ever that may be. As for David Flores, if you ever had met him then you would know that he is a kid with alot talent no brains.......

Swordsmen said:

add us to your schedule and you wont be "once a chief always a chief said:" you'll be begging to a Swordsmen, just like the rest SFSHS!!!!

Lancers said:

I enjoy the way these Chief fans act like they win games with kids that live in their attendance zone. They consistently take kids from NORWALK HIGH, and JOHN GLENN. They are not gonna win a CIF title too many good teams in their division and Mahlsteade always finds a way to choke in the big one. Santa Fe is the consumate runner-up. Here u go Santa Fe think your so high and Mighty next year schedule the Norwalk Lancers and try and stop their ground game. You played a good back in Callier from Warren and he shredded u guys. Just wait to see what they do to you. They will be returning a ton of kids next year too! Besides if you are not gonna play them play St. Paul hey we all know David Flores left because he knew Santa Fe would never win a Title so he went and got one.

once a chief always a chief said:

chiefs win friday nite was a great one over a top school great job boys!!!!! I've been critical of Flores in the past about throwing the ball, the last few games he has proved he can do it good job son.. jusT keep your heads in the game and play them one at time you will get what you have playing for the last 3 years (seniors)THE RING. with Flores passing attack and Oliver ( and Pinedo) when he gets his head in the game. the Chiefs have a balanced Offense that will be hard to stop. GOOD LUCK TO TO ALL DEL RIO TEAMS

PLAY HARD!!!! PLAY SAFE!!!!

Cal Hi said:

our park level coaches, we better try something. just because we won a team that has lost a lot of its players to graduation. this the last year, for the well!!!!!

What the heck is the new coach thinking about by leaving that qb in for CSHM???? It is obvious this kid should be playing jv football. he is not ready.

Big Oso said:

Nice Win Condors! Finaly a game without turnovers. Once again the Offensensive line did an excellent Job! T.J. Was spectacular with over 200 yds rushing and receiving. Also Tyler Hadden was clutch with 4 field goals of 27, 39, 35 and 47 yards.Remember, its not where you start but where you end up that matters. Go Condors!

Who controls the area? The answer is: La Habra. St. Paul is a joke. Can't handle La Mirada. LOL. St.Paul isn't even second in the area..that honor belongs to....The ranch! nuff said. get over yourselves and go do more steroids.

Swordsmen said:

just another victory, we just geting started. we're taking names and kicking butt. who controls the area.... St Paul!!!!!!!!!!

Reality check said:

SP- What an idiot? Paraclete finished last year rated higher then St. Paul and are currently rated higher then ST. Paul, where Whittier Christian is rated lower then St. Paul. Oh by the way I'm actually picking St.Paul to win, stop think everyone is against the Swordsmen.

CAL

Pacifica 38
Cal 14

The well IS dry. Start cheating coach, you know, fake address, last minute transfers, whatever it takes. Sorry, I mean recruiting, it's the only way to please some of these morons.

Ranch said:

you cal hi people are talking like its your god given right to win when clearly you lost most of your team from last year.... Your current seniors did lose to ER as freshmen remember...

CAL said:

Lets see what our Cal Hi coaches have planed out. If we lose again, its time to clean house!!!!!!!! Cal we can't keep wasting our talent. This talent was build only a few years ago. The well is running dry.

SP said:

Both of you clowns have your head up you’re a$$. Paraclete is like playing Whittier Christian. No talent and no speed.

Reality check said:

Don't underestimate Paraclete, they are two times DIV XI CIF champs. Don't laugh cause they are XI, Oaks Christian is the DIV X champs and they are ranked nationally. One good thing St. Paul has going is Paraclete has to travel about 2 hours (traffic) to get to the game.

CIF Division 11 said:

Paraclete is defending Div. 11 CIF Champs.

Not too fast to pick St. Paul as a winner(specially after seeing them play La Mirada). I'm going with Paraclete.

Wow SP beat pioneer 55-0 what a joke both Qbs combined could not even throw for over 200 yrds how sad can't even pass against pioneer and wow your running back gained 169 yrds watch out I would not be bragging about beating pioneer but then again that is what SP is too all the teams they play SP is the pioneer of all catholic schools, its a dump, and nobody wants to go there.

Anonymous; Pioneer a dump? I don’t think so, all catholic school are dumps, they prey on public students who are the best in there school and when they have them there, they tell the rest of the area look at us. Bull shxt! Do Catholic schools believe in God, Jesus and Mary, so why don’t they go after the worst kids who need the most help? Does God and the mother of Jesus have any power? Why does catholic schools only want the best kids in the area? Because all catholic don’t believe in God and all His power.

my pick not close St Paul!

HER&HIM said:

Maybe Pioneer will be up to beating Cypress this week after last week's experience. Doesn't playing tougher teams in non-league give your team learning opportunities for league play? HIM always says some of the tough teams SP played in past (i.e.Servite, LB Poly) were what helped them later in league. Like, those teams did SP a favor. Well, I guess SP did a favor to Pioneer by challenging them. Even if the score was lopsided, each team can take lessons learned and re-tune things at the following week's practice.

Talking tough and all I guess is part of the 'blogging' experience, but at the end of the day, all our kids are getting a well-rounded high school experience and that counts for something (winning records or not). When kids put their energies into playing a sport, they're all 'winners' to HER&HIM.

HAVE A SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL FALL SEASON.

elrancho said:

Wow nice story, Angelo and Cesar Franco were studs! I'll dig into my ER football archive and see if I have the tape of that 97 game vs MHS...

El Rancho said:

(Memorandum) El Rancho vs. Montebello; Some hard nose cross town battles , nothing on the line ( non-league ) but two teams wanting to hit. Year 1997 El Rancho held the Oilers to just 39 total yards.
.Montebello’s quarterback Jacob Del-Gadillo down by 14 points brought the Oilers within 7 points, but Jacob gave a stellar performance in the fourth quarter passing for more than a 100 yards in the same quarter with less two minutes and with ice in his veins march his team down to ER’s 18 yard line. We were “ER” sucking air, but held the Oilers to 4Th&10 with only seconds left when my team mate Angelo Franco sack Jacob, game ended ER 14 MHS 7. El Rancho & Montebello have fun, you’ll never forget. I don’t have kids yet, but one day I hope to be in the ER stands as a parent.
My pick; ER.

Roger Murray-
Are you aware of a La Habra player that was paralyzed in their game against La Mirada? If so, it would be nice to know where donations and get well wishes may be sent. If this is not the case, I apologize. Thank you.
