John there has been a massive exodus out of Sp. The alum won’t send their kids there, even when they live close to the school, so it’s not the commute. John, Sp will only receive kids from parents that have been fooled in doing so. However, I guess you love that too.

"La Serna Fan" beating Cal in basketball means nothing; zero. La Serna will win league again in basketball, then lose in the first round.

Coach Lowe is a great league coach, but I would guess his record in the playoffs is about 4 and 15

John you might not have two years. Because most of the kids that transfered out, have said the school could close 2012.

Its really not such a big deal to beat its non existent basketball program. but football you or anybody else wil have to earn your victory.

st francis would beat you anonymous, too slow my a$$. the officials were bad. when you play down there a poor school is not going to get any calls. we had to play everyone in the stadium. look at the campus=money.

When a team plays well and is very in the game, if not winning, late in the game then they fall apart, it IS NOT THE PLAYERS. WHO IS SUPPOSED TO TEACH THE WHITTIER FOOTBALL PLAYERS "HOW" TO HANG IN THERE AND LEARN TO WIN? THEIR MOTHERS? It keeps happening over and over again.

Dr. "Chica": Football is soon to be over...Cal will lose to Santa Fe this week, and as always Santa Fe will be league champs. Who knows, maybe La Serna will even shock the Condors like last year...doesn't matter cause the Lancers will certainly demolish them in basketball just like in summerleague and last year! Yeah, I am eager to get the party started mi chica.

Last second hail mary to win on homecoming? Last nights La Serna game was definitely one of the most exciting football games i have ever seen. Rosales= All League for sure. 4 TD's. 3 in the 4th quarter. Game winner. An interception and a fumble recovery. Wow.

What I want to know is why does your team get all mad at every call that the officials make? Your team is bad and you JV's and Freshman look worse. Better take more steroids than usual. I know everyone loves football but its time to start looking forward to basketball season. Should be some real competitive basketball in the area. Montebello is loaded with talent, La Mirada should be strong again even with D. Williams. La Habra and Sonora looked great during the summer leagues. La Serna was strong even with all the injuries and should have little competition in league. Great game to look forward to is Dec 4th...La Serna vs. Montebello. They played to overtime last year. Also, what seniors are being looked at for college? Any rumors? Com'on Roger...I'm sure you've heard some good things about the local boys!
