I'm ashamed of what has become of my school, the administration receives anyone now, tuition needs. When I go to the school I don't recognizes the all American school I knew. Parents and kids who would attack Falcon Mom, is wrong.

I totally agree, don't attack someones Mom. You St Paul people are too much! I too would like to hear about Cerritos, Falcon Mom, never mind some of these boneheads.

You anonymous; Is that what ST Paul has taught you?
Disrespect a Cerritos Mom. No matter if the Falcons are in the area or not. Let her express her self.

okay english 101, you understood right? So why the correction. do you get off in knowing proper way of speaking and writing. Surprised you ain't be a teacher. lol! like the man says, who cares about cerritos.

Anonymous said:

Too Bad Cerritos isn't an area team. NEXT!

Falcon Mom said:

To Anonymous: Your comment seemed unnecessarily nasty (and I could point out that the correct phrasing is "should have", not "should of"--I went to Whittier College).
WDN had been covering Cerritos and hasn't had a story for a while, so I thought maybe I could spark some interest. Feel free to support the Poets but I think they are done for the season?
Go Falcons!!!!

ACL TEAR vs ACL SPRAIN said:

This one is for you Pioneer people that do not know the difference between an ACL tear and ACL sprain and especially for you couple of pioneer mis-educated fans that called Flores a lil girl on this blog.

Flores did suffer a season-ending ACL tear along with partial tears in both meniscus, his MCL and PCL. And for those of you that know Alex you know it kills him everyday that he cant play and go out there and show why he is the best QB in the area and lead his team to back to back titles. Every coach in this league knows who the best QB is and every player knows as well, from La Habra to Hacienda Heights Wilson and any player in the DRL, just ask them what they saw on film in the first 5 games he played. And trust me he wants to go out there and play more than you bloggers know. So for you to call him a "lil girl", WOW, i dare you to say that outloud sometime and not on a blog. I dare you to say that and see how many people in this community will tell you otherwise.
And Flores is SMART for not playing on his knee and getting surgery. He wants a future in either sports or whatever career path he chooses and last time I checked you need your ACL. It is the most important ligament of the knee.

I saw Del Villar play, he does not have a tear, you can tell by the way he moves and around an is able to cut, push off and rotate is affected leg. If he had a tear he would not be able to that at a competitive level, EVEN WITH A BRACE ON. Also an ACL tear does not heal or scar over an ACL tear requires surgery and any doctor would tell you that. So the fact he did not get surgery is another good reason to conclude that he does not have an ACL tear. And NO DOCTOR in their right mind would cleared him to play. And any coach in his right mind and DOES NOT clear a player to play with a torn ACL, they could be sued and fired by the district or school for endangering the kid. Could he have had a partial tear, possibly, that is called an Grade 2 ACL sprain, those do heal with time. For those of you that say he has heart, thats great, im not questioning that, i dont know the kid. But for you morons out there, THE HEART and CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM DOES NOT CONTROL THE BIOMECHANICS and LIGAMENTOUS STRUCTURE OF THE KNEE. So unless he has hands of god healing his knee you cannot convince any educated person that he played with a TORN ACL. If you have any more questions regarding the biomechanics of the knee or anything else with injuries please feel free to ask and ill clear them up for you.

And lastly, Both QB's are great lets not take that away, its unfortunate we didnt get to see them play each other, and its unfortunate neither played a whole season. But someone wrote they wanted to compare stats from this year. I dont know Del Villars stats in 6 games, nor do i care to look them up, but I do know he threw 4 ints against SF. So you want to compare against Flores stats in 5+ games this year. I do know Flores had over 1700 total yards and 18 total touchdowns and 2int in only 5+ games. So there you go compare and we can also throw that Flores beat Del Villar last year too.

Good luck to all teams in the playoffs this year.

Yes the Division 3 local small schools are excellent academic institutions and play good football. But Cerritos would probably beat them by 2 or 3 TD's in a game

Anonymous said:

Actually Cerritos is not in the area..but you can read about them in the long beach press. As for the local guys who are on the team....they should of gone to Whittier College.

Falcon Mom said:

Hey Roger!
How about some coverage of the Cerritos Falcons? They made the State Playoffs this year, their best season in a loooonnng time. They only lost one game and only by one point!
A little recognition for the local boys who made that team a standout?
Game is this Saturday--doesn't conflict with Del Rio games :)
