It's scary, but how about this senario .... ?
Last week of the regular football season.
How's for a possible scenario?
California (5-0) defeats La Serna (2-3);
Pioneer (2-3) defeats Santa Fe (2-3) ;
Whittier (2-3) defeats El Rancho (2-3).
La Serna defeated Santa Fe, Whittier; lost to Cal, Pioneer, El Rancho.
Pioneer defeated La Serna, Santa Fe; lost to California, El Rancho, Whittier.
Santa Fe defeated Whittier, El Rancho; lost California, Pioneer, La Serna.
Whittier defeated El Rancho, Pioneer; lost to California, La Serna, Santa Fe.
El Rancho defeated Pioneer, La Serna; lost to California, Whittier, Santa Fe.
California defeated everyone.
You figure it out.
Is it a double coin flip to determine the league's second and third place entries for the playoffs.?

Read this comment carefully - it's not on topic it's just a little something to give you a smile and say thanks for your hard work on this blog!
Work is the curse of the drinking class.
Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbour were preparing to do some research about that. We got a good book on that matter from our local library and most books where not as influensive as your information. I am very glad to see such information which I was searching for a long time.This made very glad Smile
I love the way you write and also the theme on your blog. Did you code this yourself or was it done by a professional? I'm very very impressed.
Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It's very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
Isn't the first commenter telling the real truth or what??
The Del Rio League had its tie breaker already between El Rancho,Whittier and La Serna prior to tonights game between La Serna and Cal. El Rancho Won the tie breaker. This means Whittier is done and La Serna needs to win tonight to get in. It's going to be nice seeing La Serna go home empty handed. I can tell you Cal is poised and ready to go! It's going to be an all out Blitzkrieg assault on La Serna!

I guess your point was moot ? Whittier beats el rancho again. Hey murray thats 3 out of the last 4 years Whittier has beaten the ranch. Whittier's freshman beat the ranch and are co champs in the del rio. Whittier's JV beat the ranch for the second year in a row, and you picked the ranch last night.
Looks like a double coin flip unless La Serna can pull of a miracle. In all reality how weak is this league?
WHITTIER record is not 4-6 they are 5-5
HA HA HA. El Rancho "Ain't" good at football lol. What a Pico Rivera education. Swept on all three levels.
Could be interesting. It is good to see many teams playing for something the last week. Even Pioneer!!
Cal will win, El Rancho vs Whittier is even more interesting with ER without their best runner. Whittier could win if they do not give up late. Santa Fe will beat Pioneer and be the 2nd place entry.
Cal may get a tough draw because they may be rated lower than the other 4 league champs. The number 1 entry will play the 4th place team, the other 3 league champs will play the least rated 3 3rd place teams and Cal will probably get the 2nd best 3rd place team.
That may be Crescenta Valley or Rowland???
FBFan: I guarantee not just a Whittier win. Most likly a blow out. Whittier is at least the third best team in the league, but unfortunatley didn't get it done against the La Serna and La Serna hung in there and made an amazing play on a hail mary to pull off the upset. So i predict three way tie between La Serna, Whittier and El Rancho. No way Pioneer beats Santa Fe although that scenario would be interesting. Who knows who will win the coin flip or whatever happens lol. My bet La Serna have gotten lucky all year. Santa Fe/Whittier game
In a couple of multiple decision years the DRL has actually used an envelope draw rather than multiple coin tosses.
The League officials meet and there are sealed envelopes ready with the League Representative numbers inside. The involved schools then select an envelope, open it and find a sheet of paper inside. On the paper is either a number or it is blank. The number designates which DRL designation the school is.
In your scenario, one sheet would be a 2 and the other would be a 3. The blank sheets would mean you are out. Cal is the DRL # 1 since they defeated everyone.
If I recall, the Southeast Division has no wildcards because the the Pacific League (I think) has 8 teams and therefore gets 4 slots. The other 4 leagues get three slots for their teams. 4 x 3 = 12 + 1 x 4 = 16 playoff slots.
It doesn't matter, Cal is the best of the best of the best
Ain't gonna happen. Cal will defeat La Serna and El Rancho will beat Whittier making this thread a moot point.
