The Del Rio League enters its final day of the regular season with plenty of drama.
Let's go over the boys basketball scenarios first...
There are currently four teams vying for three guaranteed playoff spots.
Reigning champion La Serna (15-11, 7-2) has the inside track for the Del Rio League's No. 1 seed and can claim the title and top seed with a win at El Rancho (5-18, 0-9) at 7 p.m. The Lancers have already claimed a postseason spot.
Whittier (14-10, 7-2) can clinch a share of the DRL title with a win at California at 7 p.m. The Cardinals can also take the No. 1 spot should La Serna lose. If the Lancers win, then the Cardinals are the league's No. 2 playoff entry. Whittier has also clinched a playoff berth.
The final playoff spot is up for grabs between Pioneer and California.
Due to the league's third tie-breaker, Pioneer (9-17, 5-4) can clinch the final spot with a win at Santa Fe (6-14, 3-6).
California (11-11, 5-4), which was in first place only two games ago, needs to upset Whittier and hope Santa Fe downs Pioneer.
As for girls basketball...
The playoff teams are set with Whittier (17-9, 8-1), Santa Fe (17-9, 7-2) and California (14-10, 6-3) taking first through third.
The Cardinals can claim the title outright with a win at California at 5:15 p.m.
Should the Condors knock off Whittier and Santa Fe defeat visiting Pioneer, then both the Chiefs and Cardinals would split the crown with Whittier taking the No. 1 spot and Santa Fe No. 2.

I'm not starting anything, but come Coach Mata at Whittier in his first year winnig a share of the Del Rio League Championship. And I know you didn't say this but Whittier was not chasing La Serna. Whittier was in 1st in league. La Serna was chasing Whittier. By
far Whittier and La Serna were the 2 best and well coached team. Good luck to La Serna in Div. 2A Whittier in Div. 2AA and Pioneer in Div. 4AA. and lets cross our fingers and let Cal get an at-large bid in Div. 2AA.
Whittier can go as a 1st place too, La Serna is in Div. 2A and they can go as 1st place team. Whittier can also go as 1st place, Whittier is in Div 2AA.
