I may have a few screws loose, but for the longest time I have been thinking that perhaps the nicest thing we could do for the poor populace in Africa would be to eviscerate all the dangerous animals. Africa is full of lions, elephants, hyenas, hippos, black mambas and many other dangerous animals. All of these animals must force people away from enormous amounts of resources as well as making life quite dangerous. How free can poor subsistence farmers innovate when even moving around the country is hemmed in by an open zoo? I would also knock off every crocodile on earth too (two legs good; four legs bad). They are a danger to children (probably not you) and dogs that the farmers might own. Think of how profitably domesticated herds could use the same vast natural resources used by useless to poor people's wild herds and their natural predators. I am totally serious about this even if I might be crazy, ill informed, or both.

At WC would know that none of that is even possible the character of the coach is definitely one of a servant of Christ, this whole thing has gone on long enough it's time to let if go.

After reading all the comments I really feel sad. What turned out to be a Happy occasion for WCHS(Winning CIF-SS division)turned sour. The Sanchez Family are good people. They will go out of their way to help the girls on the team. It’s ashamed that Natalie has to go through all of this to play the game she loves so much. As parents, we want the best for our kids. In sports, weather it's softball, football, baseball or whatever the sport is, we have coaches to teach our kids. We sometimes don’t agree with the coaches decision when is comes to playing time or positions but that’s the coaches call and we have to respect that.. We want our team to win! – isn’t that what we want? Coaches will play the best players at the time, in order to achieve that goal. With all that is said and done, what example are we setting for our kids? If we are truly Christians – not just going to a Christian school, this would not have happen.

Tell me why a team of 17 players in 2009 and 4 seniors only have 9 returning players on Varsity for 2010? Player will sit the bench to be on a winning team if the rules are equal. Why would you leave a school that you won a CIF ring with. The odds of winning CIF are worse than the Lottery. So why would you change to a school that has not been close to wining one. There is more wrong with WC than anyone will know about. I support the parent and the player with this move. Someone had to expose what is going on with WC. This school and head coach should be ashamed they call them selves CHRISTIANS!

All parents want the best for their child, but this kind of thing is nothing new! This type of incident happens all the time in High School Sports such as Football, Baseball and even in Wrestling. I don't think people should blame the Coaches who build-up these great programs, maybe parents should educate themselves about the rules & regulations that C.I.F operates under, it's possible the family may have thought twice before the made the move to Amat, I do!

ok seriously, first of all...if you don't know your facts and what really went down..you shouldn't even say anything. You don't understand the hurt the Sanchez's put on everyone around them. Just because Natalie didn't pitch during playoffs(which by the way she still played third base..and hit)...they saw it necessary to put everyone else through crap. If we're all being honest and have seen Natalie play...you know she is a gifted player..no one is taking that away from her. Whittier just needed a strong pitcher AND a strong head to lead them through CIF..and Natalie just didn't measure up. But hey, they won CIF so i really don't see the problem. A real athlete would put her team above themselves..and step up wherever they needed her, not throw a tantrum about it. They seruiosly have taken it too far. The Sanchez's put WC's coach through hell, which he did not at all deserve. And if anything was unethical...it would be the Sanchez's actions.Making up lies...really??! how old are we? I kinda just pity Natalie...because of her attitude, track records and pyscho parents, shes gonna have a hard time signing with anyone. I just hope the Sanchez family has a change of heart...and i think the WC coach deserves the biggest appology.

I am curious to know...what college coach would be interested in signing a player who has parents that cause trouble like this and who don't think that rules apply to their daughter the same as everyone else's daughter???? I'm wondering if the Sanchez's have even thought about that.....

To all...FYI...All of the "problems" that The Sanchez's had with WC have been proven to be false accusations and were unsubstanctiated. They left WC because they didn't get their way when it came to the softball team, play time and playing position. It's a sad day when people lie and moves to PATHETIC when they believe their own lies and make others believe it, too.

How do you file hardship over an opinion? She goes to a school that is out recruiting players and she was the next in line, good for her. Not sure what type of hardship they are trying to prove. Usually financial hardship is the only way to get a transfer cleared but who knows. Does anyone know what travel ball team she plays for? I do, and that will be the answer as to why she was denied. There is more to this story than the unethical behavior provided by the mom. Old News

Anonymous, Amat had nothing to do with Ms. Sanchez transferring schools. The Sanchez family are very dear friends and our daughters are closer than most sisters.There's a lot more to this story than you know. Perhaps one day Jill will devulge all that has occured, but that's her call, not mine. But rest assured that Amat in no way went out and recruited her.
Natalie is a great kid and would be an asset to any school even if she wasn't an athlete.
As far as Amat being "the Yankees" of high school ball what does that mean. When was the last time Amat won a CIF title in softball? Check your facts before talking trash...
