The Swordsmen will miss Drake since he was a big factor to the offence last year, but there are other players at St. Paul that will need to contribute this year in order to make it a successful football season. Watching last week’s passing league was interesting because SPHS had a couple of last year players moved to other positions. Vega #48 was playing both offense and defense. This kid is looking impressive, why didn’t they use this kid last year on offense?
I hope the newly assembled coaching staff will recognize the talent they have at the school and utilize it correctly.

The only reason Drake left SPHS was to capture a "RING"..

He'll always be recognized as a St. Paul Running back! So it is true... Once A Swordsmen, Always a Swordsmen. Drake is a great running back. But, where's the loyalty. St. Paul took very good care of this kid. And he knows that. This was going to be his team. If he did it for the ring. Then yeah, it was a good move. But, how much does that ring really mean to you. If you weren't there from your Freshmen year. I don't think you remember the ring down the road. It's the friends that you grind it out with to win it does. Now that's what it's all about.
