Rendon Opts for Surgery
Reigning Daily News Girls Basketball Player of the Year, Andrina Rendon of St. Paul, has decided on surgery for her ailing left knee.
Rendon's father, Ramon, called today and verified his daughter will get scoped on Friday and then doctors will decide on how to further proceed.
Ramon Rendon said reports Andrina tore her left ACL were not "entirely accurate" because the doctor who made the diagnosis did so only by "looking at her knee" and not further examining it.
Ramon Rendon also said his daughter had weighed through a few collegiate decisions and felt it was best to continue her education at Cerritos College. Ramon Rendon said his daughter felt she would be able to heal properly and play before transferring to a four-year institution.
