The Big 25
I mentioned this a couple of times but you folks might want to take a look at the San Gabriel Valley Newspaper Groups' 24-hour football blog (Football Blog) operated by my esteemed colleague Aram Tolegian.

The big guy just compiled a ranking of the SGVN newspaper's top 25 football programs. That's the coverage area of the Pasadena Star-News, San Gabriel Valley Tribune and Whittier Daily News.
He's made some interesting selections and you folks might want to get into the conversation.
The one area I can't agree with him is his overhyping of the Mission Valley League. Listen, I grew up around that league and it's not what it used to be.
The MVL champion wouldn't finish higher than third in the Del Rio League. Honestly, Arroyo or Rosemead wouldn't beat Santa Fe or Cal-Hi or El Rancho. But hey, that's just my humble opinion.
Go give yours.

Kudos to you! This is a really good blog here and I love your style of writing. How did you get so good at blogging?
Where in the heck is St.Paul? Oh thats right, you need to have a "good" football team to be on the list.
We'll be the favorite in our league, that alone might not mean much but we'll be ready to compete and not take anyone lightly. SF will be down, La Serna, OK, the rest of the DRL not very good. The big 25 we should be higher. J.Muir will be tough if there at the end or close to the end. Despite what the haters are saying about our team next year,........ "well" we're not St.Paul.
Teams from the Mid Valley Conference should not be in the Top 25 list. Cross them out now! Maybe there is one exception, Schurr. Why do you drop Schurr down to the Mid Valley? They would have been better served to join the Del Rio League and stay in the SouthEast.I hear they are already ordering CIF championship Rings.
