Sports Fan Original -- As SFS4LIF3 stated, Barajas is a class of 93 grad. He went on to play two seasons at Cerritos College and was not drafted. He was signed as an amateur by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 1996.

Hector -- I'll have to look into that. Before the beginning of his sophomore season at Cerritos College, Flores was getting serious buzz. In fact, I even heard that California was interested. But to be honest, I didn't follow up.

I have a question regarding all league stand outs. Do the players get all league by their position or over all play? Do all teams in a league have to have one player represented or what?
Anon - Players are nominated by their coaches and it's really not based on position. Each team has at least one player qualify for honorable mention at minimum although there isn't a specific statute for each team.

Why not - I guess I'm not cool. To be honest, area rankings don't matter much and I don't take myself too seriously in that regard. Sure, they're great in some instances (like when La Mirada and St. Paul baseball played) but CIF-SS polls are what really count. That's why I post them.

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
Campa - Any possible way we could get more coverage on the St. Paul baseball program? Varsity is doing well, heck even the JV and Frosh/Soph teams are kickin' butt! I haven't seen an article about the team in a while. Any chance of more coverage?
