Stats are a joke. If each team had an official score sheet to there games, they'd never match. Most score keepers don't no they difference between a HIT or ERROR.

What about Slugging percentage. I think to be a five star offensive prospect the scouts look at batting average, slugging percentage, home runs, runs batted in, and on base percentage. I don't think that very many coaches on the high school level track all of that stuff. They are also very fast and loose with their stats. If you look at max preps, you hardly see ROE or FC'S entered. Most of these guys are just trying to pump their players up.

What about stolen bases and on base percentage??

where did you get the info? MaxPreps? Some of these players do not have complete stats from all games.(not all games are included) Re evaluate how you choose.
