Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Sp Alum did their best on recruiting the most qualified principal for the school in Barr. Wow now SP’s Activities’ Director “Kate Aceves” is the principal of the school.

I just hope with Barr's departure St. Paul doesn't go back to Rent a Football Players for football season. After that ,they go back to their respected school's. That's the only way St. Paul was able to win because they stole players from other school's and academics were secondary.

If the SP kids became lazy, when will they bare responsibility? Time to face reality, not every kid is meant for private school. Parents Wake UP! These kids weren't asked to be born. My kid does an excellent job at SP, but we are still vigilant. Lets stop the blame game.

why would you think Lori Barr raised the bar she didnt care about the kids the kids became lazy and so did the teachers

I completely agree with you! Araujo is a great coach our loss is Warrens gain and we seen how that turned out this season and I'm sure Warren will win it mext year. Not sure who will be in charge of putting coaches in place at SP now but we need to stabilize the situation there. You hit it square on the head.

Mrs Senteno-Tapia is a terrific coach, person, and role model. All players would benefit from her leadership. What I meant in regards to salary was that they (SP) would need to bring her on as a full time teacher, not just as a walk on coach, which seems the preference at SP. Not too mention that coach BW would not want anyone else to coach SP. I thought SP had a good thing going when they had Araujo there last year. In retrospect, what I think would greatly benefit SP and most other programs is stability. There is too much turn over with coaches. Schools that have a stable coaching staff tend to better...Trujillo-La Mirada, Kruse-Cal High, Larsin-La Serna and so on...I'm sure it's the same in most sport and softball like any other sport is no different.

Moody,I totally agree with you about academics first,but when you have a coach who makes girls feel unwelcome and unworthy, it time for the SP administrators to find a new coach. Yes, they finished above 500, but they had more starters return this season than any other school in their league, still they finished in 3rd place. This coach puts himself on a pedestal and a few parents worship him.
Nobody seems to want to fund raise for the program and they're losing local talent to Amat or St.Joseph.

Ms. Barr was a great principal. It's sad we have to see her go.

It'd be nice to see the head softball coach leave. Bring someone who has actually had experience coaching girls softball.

I have been around the school the last 4 years and that is what is being done. The standards of the school have been raised as evident by all the athletes being ineligible last year. I believe that it is a fair question and statement about Mrs. Senteno. Obviously you don't know her as a person or else you wouldnt be saying anything regarding salary. She is a great coach that instills academic excellence in her players. I hope she would come back to SP maybe even in an administrative capacity.

The school can't afford to pay Senteno's teacher salary. SP needs to focus on raising its academic standards and less on its' athletic achievement.

For people in the know? What needs to happen on order to get the ball rolling at SP? We were under the impression that Barr was there for a complete overhaul of the school now that isn't the case. What needs to happen in order to increase the academic level at the school while maintaining a competitve level in all athletics. I truely hope that the school succeeds. I don't know the whys but the time she was there, I think she made great changes. I think all schools can benefit from an outsider coming in and see the areas that could use improvement or where complacency was happening. Hopefully, the replacement continues in that vein, and doesn't go back to "old days" where too many alumnni faculty members keep with the familiar and not challenge themselves or the school at large.

This family is sorry to see her go. And as Campa suggested, it can be sports related because of the academic standards and probation rules. She had raised the academic bar, and it affected a quite a few players.

Too bad, she worked hard to increase enrollment and seek donors. So did the softball coach depart as well?
Bring back coach Senteno.
