Like the majority of area high school football teams, this blog is heading into dead period for a while.

I normally don't post my articles on here but I realize we've been having some online issues with stories. Here's my football notebook that ran in today's paper.

There have been a few calls for a WDN preseason top 5 or 10. Before I post one, here's how the high school football website calpreps.com ranks the area.

As far as I'm aware, there are seven local football players who have verbally committed to Division 1 schools and another 2-3 that have considerations (i.e. mulling over offers).

Rivals.com recently ranked three of those talents in the state top 100. Here they are.

Santa Fe High School's near eight-hour long, 32-team Tournament of Champions came to end this afternoon with plenty of results.

I recently attended a Cantwell Sacred Heart passing league and walked away with a few impressions.

As many of you already know, the 10th annual Santa Fe Tournament of Champions and Young Guns Passing Tournament kicks off tomorrow morning at 9. This is one the largest spectacles and is a must-see.
