Look im not trying to say anythin wrong about these guys. All im trying to tell you is that they don't have anything until they land that schalorship. Verbal commits don't mean nothing. Get it through all your heads. All that means is that those kids messed up there chances to go anywhere else. Because once word goes out that they verballed to those schools no one else will come see them, if they're as good as you say they are. They should have waited till after the season to verbal anywhere. But yet another dumb move by La Mirada. It's ok though. Hope these guys do go somewhere. I'm not trying to pull these guys down and tell them they're not going d.1 cuz they might. But bottom line " A VERBAL ISN"T A SCHALORSHIP. LAND THE SCHALORSHIP FIRST AND TALK LATER."

well its a good thing people are hating cus they obviously have there eyes open and see that la mirada is weak..yeah they beat st.paul but that team was weak and they had some distractions..thats not gonna happen this year..and without any haters we wouldnt have the player haters ball.

In general, and it is too bad, people sometimes tend to hate success stories. And La Mirada Football is just that, a success story.

What it took: Muschetti in. What a coaching change. La Mirada has always had the athletes. Maybe an off year athlete wise once in a while, but the athletes are there. This coaching staff has proved it.

People can hate and talk about the Division, but the truth is they beat St. Paul, Mayfair, and all others they had to beat.

actually you dont know what you are talking about nor can you defend yourself.the point i was making was that its cool that la mirada coaches have connections,and its cool that they send out some film and the college shows interest, then the university sends somebody for a half and they see the real product of la mirada football,then the recruiter gets back to his guys and they talk about a guy who isnt what there looking for..you should spend sometime on an official college website and look at the rosters of these programs and read their stats..they want 6'3", 300..not a 6'1 240 guy from la mirada hahaha

im not a la mirada fan....but....does anybody smell the hate......all the negative comments must be coming from parents of kids who got their butts kicked bu la mirada at one point or another......

Did you ever once think that these kids can play? They have multiple offers, like the coaching staff did some sort of Vodoo on the coaches to get them to offer scholarships.. It's good for the area, good for the kids, school etc... And the kid that got offered by USC as an 8th grader, I'm sure he will have 30 scholarship offers by the time he's a senior. The university will not pull an offer to a kid that has committed... They will pull offers to kids that have been offered a scholarship and hasn't committed, ie injury or other kids commit before him,.. The only way a verbal scholarship and commit is pulled is as follows, kid is arrested, or doesn't do well academic wise... Period..

Actually, offers can be pulled but it's unusually and makes the university looked bad to other recruits.

Obviously you are not aware of recruiting guidelines. If you verbally commit it's just a verbal, the University can pull an offer no matter what. Commitments are non binding until players sign a letter of intent the first Wednesday in February. Congrats on the "verbal" commits but remember nothing is set in stone until one signs on the dotted line. If a player gets hurt believe me they can pull the offer immediately i've seen it happen. Also, believe me when I say this Moschetti and his staff have major connections at the D1 level just pray these kids pan out in college because if they don't his word will mean nothing in the future.

Committed to schools, congrats! But just because your committed doesn't mean anything until you bring home that scholarship. Anyone from any school can commit somewhere. I've known kids who were committed to USC just starting there 8th grade year. So let's not hype anyone up yet about being committed anywhere because they need to land the scholarship first! It's funny how La Mirada and everyone else get all excited about there schools having kids committed but when it came to SP kids committing, all there was being said was a load of crap about them! Look you could have so much pride for the school you rep. to a certain extent. But as an area, we should be proud for every kid who is committed to any school, from any school around here! Bottom Line! Hate the school, but don't hate the Kid.

none of these guys have any size..except for peters but i doubt he's gonna get any playing time over at kansas..when the recruiters realize that la mirada isnt playing real california ball like long beach poly or mission viejo or amat they're gonna lose interest..la mirada guys are getting looks from big names cus the big colleges havent seen them play during there cupcake schedule of norwalk or bellflower theres no competion there..end of story as for now we'll see where they end up at the end of the season.
