La Habra Graces the Cover

| | Comments (21) |

There are roughly 582 schools in the CIF-Southern Section with over half of them playing some sort of football (either 11 or 8 man).

On Tuesday, the accredited media received the annual "Football Master Schedule & Press Guide." Out of all the possible choices, the CIF-SS office selected defending CIF-SS Southwest Division Champion La Habra for the cover shot.

It may not exactly be Madden but that's still cool.

Amazing freakin blog here. I almost cried while reading it!

Keep focusing on your blog. I love how we can all express our feelings. This is an extremely nice blog here :)

I love the way you write and also the theme on your blog. Did you code this yourself or was it done by a professional? I'm very very impressed.

I like to make scrambled eggs. Crack one in a cereal bowl, mix it up, and heat for about 1 minute (depending on your microwave). Add cheese if desired. It comes out like a little egg patty, and you can put it on a sandwich.

Anonymous: I used to work in the city of Montebello and most of their residents did not even understand why the WDN would call for inquiries on subscriptions nor did they even know they were covered by the WDN.

Sports Fan said move up,I think that would be a bad Idea sports fan with all respect to you.If La habra was in DIV 1 that would be a big mistake ,I think they should schedule DIV 1 schools in pre season and beat up on their divison in the playoffs it just dosent make sense fix something taht is not broken, they are not Serra Gardena,Servite,Mission viejo,or O-Lu.
I think coach M would be a good fit at St.Paul Anonymous, all good coaches through the coaching ranks have left there winning tenor at some point to return to their Alma Mater,I think coach M would do St.Paul good and Iam sure they would welcome him, enough said GO LA HABRA AND KICK BUTT!!!!

It would be a good idea for La Habra to move up! They have dominated for years.

The WDN should cover teams that fall within their circulation area and not geography like you think.

Besides they will go where the news is and until you guys start playing up instead of that schedule you have you guys will always be a footnote.

Anonymous, Montebello does not border Whittier. And, dependnig on what part of Whittier you are in, e.g., the East, Montebello is about 10 mile away. Northeast Whittier borders La Habra. Whittier's west end is bordered by Pico Rivera and Pico's west end borders Montebello. Get your facts straight.

sorry WcLancer
La Habra is OC. Montebello borders Whittier and is in LA County. Get a Map.

WcLancer said:

The cities that should be covered are cities that border Whittier. La Habra to the East, Pico Rivera to the west, Santa Fe Springs to the South West, and La Mirada to the South East. Montebello and Cantwell should be dropped from coverage since they are more aligned with East La/Bell Gardens/Commerce area, and Schurr because they are with the West San Gabriel Valley such as Alhambra and Rosemead.

La Habra keeps getting a ton of press. A former La Habra player, now at Boise State, recently made the cover of Sports Illustrated. Not to mention,,,Joshua Quezada is rated 76 as a freshman RB at BYU on the NCAA Madden video game.

Wow...

I hope the best for La Habra ,but in my opinion they should stay down in Div 8 OR 7 In 2009 They barely beat San Clemente 29-28 Iam not hating on you Iam just stating the facts, they lost to a weak Los Alamitos 28-13.There preseason schedule no DOUBT will prepare them to take DIV 8 or 10.Good luck La Habra You really have not played nobody in the last 7 years, there is no track record for La habra to move up in to DIV 1 The school is right in the middle of Ghetto town. Once DIV 8 School Always will be Div 8 School or is it DIV 9 sorry HA HA :(

Awesome,,,I'm going to send my sons to La Habra. We live in Whittier, border with La Habra and we're in the La Habra HS district.

They've got it going on.....Those are nice Under Armor practice jerseys.....I can't wait to see their NIKE game jerseys....

La Habra, here we come.....

Exactly, La Habra is Orange County already covered by the OC Register and OC Varsity. Isn't it enough already........Campa focus on the "WHITTIER" area schools and surroundings in LA county. It's the Whittier Daily News, not the La Habra Daily News!

Anonymous said:

last I checked the WDN was an LA County paper. Let the OC Register drool all over that school.
