The Clean Slate
After a two-week hiatus in lovely Southern Mexico (Chiapas, for those who know), it's great to comeback and talk football.
In some ways, this will be my introduction to many of you as the WDN preps sports editor. And I just wanted to clean the slate on a couple of things.
When I first started here there were a lot of rumors about my esteemed predecessor, Roger Murray. Fans used to say Murray was a La Serna honk because he lived up the hill (not true) or that he wrote about St. Paul all the time because he coached pop warner nearby (false).
I think my favorite was a La Serna parent who told me Roger was biased toward Cal-Hi because his son went there (funny, but again untrue).
As for myself, I'm going to try best to be as unbiased as possible and distribute the coverage as best I can.
Does that mean the coverage is going to be fair? No. Certain teams (i.e. La Habra) have won more recently and are going to get more coverage than others because of the number of meaningful games. That translates in all sports (Montebello boys water polo, Whittier Christian girls volleyball, Santa Fe wrestling, etc.) That's just the nature of the business. We try to cover as many important games as possible.
But we're going to make as best an effort to get as many teams covered as possible.
So, please don't call me like one parent did last year and tell me the paper has been biased against her school since the 70's. Nobody on the current staff was here in the 70's and a couple weren't even born.
What I'm trying to say is that we're starting anew today with a clean slate.
If we mess up somewhere along the way, this is the place to lodge a (nonderogatory) complaint.
As for myself, let me put the rumors to bed. I don't live in the area, I've never coached locally, attended or have a child that's attending a local school. So, I don't really have any rooting interests.
So, with that out of the way, let's talk football.

What a relief to find out a piece of paper that could be finally actually importance reading! I’ve been seeking all-around in relation to this topic but men and women just put junk posts, or short empty posts. I have noticed a couple vids on youtube but it’s now the equivalent as reading a good post.

why would andrew do something like that? include cantwell? yeah, okay........if you are complaining that your son is not getting coverage at cantwell, you should have sent him somewhere else......maybe if they do something interesting, maybe then they will get covered!!!!! people, if you dont like what gets covered, there are alot things you can do.....1. join a winning program. 2. get a new coach. 3. read another paper. it is what it is......get over it.....
okay slate is wiped clean. Include Cantwell in your blogs. We'll see how long this lasts
