Week 2 Rankings
There's been a couple of small changes to this week's Daily News top 5 ranking, including some movement in the top 2.
1. La Habra (1-1, unchanged from #1) 
The Highlanders came within 13 yards of falling to 0-2. But it doesn't matter since they picked up the win over a game La Mirada team. The challenge only intensifies this weekend versus the monster known as Servite.
2. St. Paul (1-0, up from #3) 
If St. Paul defeats Norwalk, it just might want to switch to the Suburban League since it would have knocked off the league's top 2 teams (no disrespect to Mayfair). The Swordsmen had a week off to get healthy while the Lancers were hammered by another upper-divisional opponent in Cypress, 28-6.
3. Santa Fe (1-0, unchanged from #4) 
The Chiefs offense still needs work but the defense was superb versus a solid Division 4 Warren team. Santa Fe gets a good test in Bonita on Friday, which has scored 83 points this season in two games. Does a good offense beat a good defense? I guess we'll see.
4. La Serna (1-1, down from #2) 
The Lancers took their lumps in a defeat to Division 4 Downey last week. It was just one of those games where La Serna had trouble closing out because of multiple mistakes. Chalk to this loss up as a learning experience.
5. El Rancho (2-0, unchanged) 
The Dons came back down to earth after a crushing 41-0 win over Los Altos. Yet, they showed plenty of grit in rallying to defeat Northview, 13-10, on the road. Road wins are never easy regardless of who you play. The El Rancho stable was strong again, rushing for 198 yards on 34 carries.

Ford brings stop/start system to U.S.Ford will equip many of its U.S. cars and SUVs with stop/start technology, beginning in 2012, which automatically shuts down the engine when the vehicle comes to a stop, cutting down on fuel use and emissions.The technology, which Ford calls Auto Start-Stop, will be available with either manual or automatic transmissions. A Ford spokesman said that engineers are still developing the technology, so it will keep the pressure up in the automatic-transmission fluid when the engine is stopped. The fluid pressure is needed for the transmission to operate properly.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

They should have scheduled them in 08. ST PAUL would have ran all over LH, and hit them so hard they would quit. CIF CHAMPS 08 remarkable year, the D was stingy i was scared just hearing the hits!
