I don't think anyone from the La Serna coaching staff has heard a request from the Saint Paul coaching staff about playing in the pre-season... but then again you may be right. Maybe the SP coaches have been begging La Serna to play them for quite sometime now.

In any case what is Saint Paul's fans deal? Why do you people have to "hate" on any other area team that has success? How about you guys stick to hazing investigations and setting up recruits in those apartments across the street from the school and we'll keep playing football.

You should keep talking smack because the world needs people like you for motivation. You were specifically placed on earth to make us prove that we are what we say we are - a school and program that is committed to developing young student/athletes to exceed their academic and athletic potential.

I bet you would have been All-American if he would have just let you put down those water cuts and dirty towels and play like the Super-Star you always were destined to become. Now you get to get even by hitting like a girl from behind the keyboard... If you got issues, beside your bed wetting and Mommy, then say them loud and clear. Otherwise save your sarcastic sneak attacks and half wit humor for your chess club tea.

I will give La Serna's coaches credit. They are making the most of their talent. They have several good running backs and a big, fairly quick offensive line. Their new offense can support three good backs at a time.

La serna is coin all the way this year, whoever said they aren't going past the first round...better think again. Be there and you'll see.

Next thing you will gripe about is the rent a player move Beltran made 2 years ago. Then you will follow that up with the gun incident, where an LS "student"-athlete was found to have a gun but was allowed back on school grounds and the team, I think it was that same year. Get over it. New LSHS motto . . . "If Santa Fe/Cal DID it, why not us." Get over it. No one cares, at least that's the mindset.

LS keep doing what you are doing, blow out Whittier, then destroy Cal. They are nothing more than "well coached teams" anyhow.

LS took ALL of their starters out after the 2nd series both offensively and defensively. They only left the starters in for special teams.

Coach Beltran does not call the offense and those pass plays were all within the first half. Only one attempt to pass was made in the second half and that was within the 3rd qtr; furthermore the pass play turned into a run. In any case, what's the reasoning for the complaint? Pioneer's corner made a great play on the ball and the pass was incomplete.

There have been many times in the past where the score has been run up on La Serna. Moreover, many teams get thrown on when already down by 28 or 35+ points. You can't expect teams to take out their starters too early or start taking a knee with so much time left.

Don't be too hasty to call out a coach for something you know nothing about. You are not a part of the team and should let things be as they are. It's over so get over it. If La Serna gets a bad beating this year (either in the rest of the regular season or in the playoffs) I guarantee they will not blame someone else for their misfortune because to do so would be cowardly. In that situation La Serna would look internally to fix any problems.

I hope Pioneer does well and beats Santa Fe at the end of the regular season. La Serna will be looking to do the same to Whittier this week and California the following week. This season is all about retribution and making history for La Serna and the players will work hard for each other to do just that.

I remember how nice Cal was to La Serna last year. It was 42-0 at half and Jones came out late in the 4th quarter ahead 56-7. Santa Fe was always thoughtful those years when they used to destroy everyone. LS threw 13 times!! Spare me the rubbing it in comment.

LS did start to take out some of their starters but also kept rubbing it on PHS by throwing after already up by 35, 42 points (about 3-4 times). A bomb to Burke (which was deflected) really, was that needed? What is Margarito trying to prove, I hope Beltran didn't make those passing calls, thought he was a class act not an ass. Good luck LS, players, the rest of the way.

The biggest beneficiary of Campa's Blog fiasco has to be St. Paul. A 34-7 loss to Serra then 40-10 loss to 4-4 St. Francis. Is the wood starting to come of the hazing paddles over on Greenleaf Blvd? Perhaps you can still beat HWL to end up 6-4 but not likely to get past the first round in a VERY weak Div 4. Character matters and always shows and we get to see something about SP's here.

Didn't La Serna beat La Mirada? 32-28 I believe... I think they also beat Div. 1 LB Wilson as well. Anonymous needs to relax. The Del Rio league is down this year, but La Serna is in fact a good team. They have scored 132 points in their last three league games and have only given up 7 points in that time span as well.

Good teams are supposed to do that against lesser opponents. LS pulled their starters out by the second series of the second half and still kept on rollin'. The fact of the matter is that no one (at the beginning of the year anyways) expected La Serna's new offense to be so explosive. The defense has also come along nicely and the special teams have also been executing well. All of this is due to good coaching and hard work from the La Serna players.

Hopefully they will do the same in their next two games and take home a league championship. They just need to remain focused and keep working hard.

Yes your right the del rio league does suck but not the Lancer. They are very deep on offence and there pretty good on defence. Look at the ranking 100 state and national 1142 i don't think anybody in the area is that high. Some people are just HATER but that ok because prove is on the field. GO LANCER
