Tustin 20, La Habra 14

Here are the projected starting offenses and defenses.

We'll post drive-by-drive updates on La Habra football at 2 p.m. versus Tustin and later with Whittier Christian vs. Monrovia at 7:30 p.m. Stayed turned.

I'm not sure why it was such a difficult decision but the site for Saturday's CIF-Southern Section Mid-Valley Division championship game has been set for Arcadia High at 7:30 p.m. Apparently both sides had objections and the CIF-Southern Section office had to step in, something that displeased Monrovia principal Darvin Jackson.

"We've basically been fighting it for the last 24 hours," Jackson said. "The difficulty was when you have all the representatives from all sides there, as well as CIF looking at the site.

"We could have kept arguing, but CIF was not going to agree. We were basically told we could not hold it at Monrovia. It wasn't concession."

A few days removed from his team's season-ending 21-16 defeat to Bonita in Saturday's CIF-Southern Section Southeast Division Finals, La Serna coach Margarito Beltran gave a couple of thoughts on the game and gave credit to Bonita for quality play.

"Overall, Bonita made less mistakes than we did," Beltran said. "I'll give credit where credit is due.

Southwest Division Semifinals

La Habra (9-3) vs. Sonora (10-2) at Cal State Fullerton, 7 p.m.
